Default Rate the intensity of your WORST nightmare of your life in this poll please

:1244:I am curious how intense dreams can actually ever get. I think this is valuable data to everyone interested in a deeper understanding of how our dreaming mind works.

I think that if we leave this poll up long enough, and if everyone that votes considers that they too can view the poll results, thus the more accurate the response, the more valuable the knowledge.

So I humbly ask that when you answer this poll that you think it over and answer as accurately, without downplay or exaggeration, to the best of your ability. Since we all can see this data freely, it will be valuable to us all.

    The question specifically means:
Rate as accurately you can with the given poll answers, the level of intensity of the worst nightmare you ever had in your entire life. There is no "other" option, if nothing applies, make a reply. Also, details would be good from anyone.

I am making this a sticky and leaving it up indefinitely.

Thanks folks, this should be interesting!

Default Re: Rate the intensity of your WORST nightmare of your life in this poll please

When I was around 16-17, the only dreams I recalled were nightmares, which lead to a 3 month period of insomnia, (over a period of 3 months) but the only thing in common with them was the presence of this shadow figure. once it possessed someone, sometimes it didn't take a shape. Most of the dreams were fairly short but intense, except for the last nightmare (during that time) which in-dream lasted days, but broke down into scenes like a short film. I remember them 3 years later quite vividly. I've told people those dreams, which followed with the notion that they felt my dreams were pretty messed up. lol

I think nightmares are easier to remember just because of the emotional impact (fear being a very strong and compelling emotion).

Although, I seem to recall dreams vividly regardless.
