Dreamt of the arrival of Jesus on earth,God, and sacrificing myself

Setting: About five people, and myself are near an ocean. We are expecting the biggest event EVER. At first we are not exactly sure what was going to happen, but we just knew, as if the message were told to us from God himself.

The waves began to get very high, thousands of feet, until the largest wave towered in front of us, as if it were going to engulf us. It stayed in a towering position, and eventually subsided. Lieing on the ocean front was Jesus. "A GIANT" literally. We rushed to his aid, to see if he was okay, and to help him up. We began walking to a distination that only Jesus knew. I was holding his right hand, with someone in the front,leftside,and a couple behind him. There was an overwhelming feeling of love in the air, and protection. We stopped, he asked all of us our names, he got to me and asked me, i replied"With my name" and he said,"oh yeahhh" and smiled. As he continued to ask the remaining people all you could do was smile, laugh, and be happy because they were talking to Jesus, the love was nothing like i've felt before.

We arrived at a location, we went inside the church(I'm going to call it a church because of the events that are about to take place). It is an old building clearly. We lined up beside one another, he told us to cover our eyes, and keep walking. There was a wall directly in front of us, the others had stopped because of it, however, I remembered he said to keep walking. My legs began to slide from underneath me, and i began to float on my back. Jesus was on his knees asking God to Bless me. My body began to glow, and i began to feel strength inside, THERE WAS NO DOUBT ABOUT GODS abilities at this point. The feeling was out of this world. I was shaking in the air, as if he was giving me strength, and power. Then Jesus took me in his arms and we began to float upright in the air. He asked, "Are you ready to meet God?" I said, "Yes". He said , "Well take that gum out of your mouth". I said, "Oh my God i'm so sorry" and threw it out, It seemed to be sticky and i felt like I still had a little on my face. So i quickly tried to get the gum off my face by rubbing my cheek up against Jesus cheek(keep in mind we were in the air and i was holding him with my hands). I had no idea how that gum got in there, it was not there a second ago, but i did not question that situation. He then said, "There is one last thing you have to do". I said , "Okay". We went around to a sink.. where he grabbed a big knife and held me up as if i were to be sacrificed with one hand, with no problem at all. When he grabbed the knife i said, "Oh God" because i know that i would have to sacrifice myself. When i said this God replied, "What boy?" In a deep tone as if to say DO YOU WANT TO COME TO MY KINGDOM OR NOT.While i was being held like a rag doll, I began to think in my mind, "This is going to hurt, you are going to die, what if this is a trick, I've seen on t.v. where people are brainwashed to kill themselves." After i finished thinking, I said "YES" i dont know why i said it, but i was ready. I didn't feel the knife in my back so i began to scream it louder, "YES, YES". Then i felt as if i were floating in the air on my back again in space. There was complete darkness around me. There was a white light in the middle it began to expand outwards. Then i woke up..my body was really hot all over, and i was lieing on my back with my arms across my chest. I looked at the clock it read 3:01 am it was July 17,07.

The day after that a big storm was in the area. Thunder,lightening, and rain. When it began to storm, i felt very close to nature. It was as if the thunder was going to come down and hit me, like i just knew it. i was nervous and you can tell it in my voice. Needless to say, I stayed inside and i did not get hit.

Any thoughts?

To Add: I had been dealing with so much stuff in my life, depression is just the beginning, i won't go into it farther than that. However, I was really content with my life at that point in time, and at peace with what i had already overcome, and I was thinking about throwing in the towel.

Of course, i didn't and i'm at a better place now!

I can't say that I can interpret your dream symbol by symbol, but anyhow anyone with good sense and intuition can interpret them, and I think that the interpretation is just as important as the dream itself.

What I noticed about your dream was that Jesus was like your friend. He spoke to you as a brother and when he asked if you wanted to sacrifice yourself in order to see God, I liken that to having your faith tested. Its like when have faith you believe in the unseen and in that moment you didn't know what to expect but you trusted in Jesus. In the book of Genesis, they say that Abraham's faith was tested by God when God asked Abraham to sacrifice his son in place of a lamb, but instead an angel of God came to Abraham to stop him in the nick of time. There's alot to this guy and I am not by any means knowledgable yet. So basically Abraham was the first Jew to acknowledge God and even converse with Him and that's why they call him the father of the Jews. So I think this dream of your reminded of that. Maybe it was a spiritual dream, not as many would think. People also typecast and label things, so if you were to have a spiritual dream they'd think you'd need a crucifix, priests, Heaven's gates and such, but clearly this dream of yours in not like that but I would give it a spiritual sense. Its obvioulsy not about the material world. Since you said that your battling and hopefully overcoming depression, maybe its your higher self also telling you to have faith in yourself and in your Jesus (if your a Christian anyhow). The other interesting thing you said was that a storm happened shortly after your experience (which sounds like a lucid dream/astral projection in a way) and so this experience should have comforted you as well. I can't really interpret this dream by symbols and such but I really think there are some themes here that interwine with what your going through. Could it be that having faith will get you through hard times? I think so...

Thanks! Yeah i'm beginning to think that myself. To just keep the faith and don't give up! Things will work themselves out.

ive had dreams very very similar to yours..but in mine, the lord reveals a story with every dream. Ive been having dreams with God for the past 2 years, have you had more than one dream?
