Default Anyone getting warnings from dead relatives?

Hi, I'm new to the forum and I have a question. Has anyone else been having warning dreams from dead relatives recently? I have had 3 dreams where my mother is trying to warn me about something. The first one was back in March when I dreamed that I went to her house and she said real seriously," I want to talk to you about something." That's when I woke up.
I was looking at another dream website and someone posted a similar dream where her dead grandmother showed up at her office and wanted to see her. Her grandma put her hand on her face and said she had something to tell her and that's when she woke! I wrote and told her about my dream. We were both really upset about our dreams. What did they want to tell us? She hasn't posted anything else so I don't know if she ever got an answer to that.
At first I had thought my dream was about someone in my family but when this woman had such a similar dream I started to think maybe it was about some disaster about to take place that they wanted to tell us about. We both live in the U.S.
The second dream I had was that I was at my kids grade school (they are grown now). My daughter was actually a toddler in the dream and too young for grade school but you know how dreams are. I went up some steps and into the hallway and there sat my mother on a folding chair in a deserted hall. It was very real. I knew in the dream that she was dead and I asked why she was there. She just stared at me until I got closer and she started to cry. I panicked and asked her if there was something wrong with one of my sons (I knew my daughter was there at the school). She sort of put her head down and moved it to the side which I took as a no. Then I heard her say "news" and I woke up.
I had just started to get over that dream when on June 23(which,BTW, is the anniversary of my brother's death), I had a dream that mother was sitting in a chair singing a silly song-like a joke song. It was sort of a lucid dream because I remember thinking I wish I would remember this song because it's a real song with lyrics that rhyme and make sense. I leaned in to hear her and she put her face right in front of mine and said, "things are going to get rough, I want you to be prepared" I asked, what is going to happen? She said, "I won't tell you" and faded away like a ghost in a movie. It was weird. She backed away, fading out as she did. I woke up and cried and cried because it was so scary.
I don't know what to make of this dream. I'm not surprised that my mother would want to warn me of something but she's scaring me by not giving me enough information. I don't understand why she said I *won't* tell you instead of I can't. I mean, maybe there are some things dead people know are going to happen and can't tell you but she said won't like she didn't want to. I am almost starting to feel mad at my dead mother LOL because she's messing with my mind - Unless it wasn't her and my subconscious is making up these dreams, but the dreams seemed so real which is usually a sign for me that the dead person is really telling you something or that the dream will happen. The people in my family have a history of precognitive dreams and dreams that are like visitations from the dead, so that doesn't surprise me. I just don't understand why she won't be more specific. It makes me feel like it's something so bad she doesn't want me to get upset now but to be ready. So I'm assuming by be prepared she meant emotionally. But sometimes I think what if she meant actually physically prepared, like for some national disaster or attack. So I have been looking at dream websites to see if anyone else is getting warnings because maybe it's about some world event or something. Please let me know, Thanks, Lil

It happened to me before the night before my secret marriage, my father dead father visited me crying that his eyes were full of tears, he told me to to look after my dignity and marry publicly then he faded away. I posted this dream here last week (Did I Make the Right Decision?). In my other dream my dead cousin told me to be incharge of the land but I woke up with his voice. When I woke up I called him then talked to him and asked him where and which land then I went back to sleep. My dream continued and I saw the land of my greatgrandfather which was abandoned fo about 40 years. Afdter 13 dreams of having headaches and sleepless nights I visited this land in the Philippines and processed the papers for ownership. Last March 2006 I got the title of the land in my name. I have many dreams that turned into reality. Sopme are warnings from the dead.

Before you sleep you need to pray then ask God. your gaurdian angel, the dead person that gave warning to guide you and show to in dream (what you want to know) Sometimes it will take 3 days to one week you need to be patient. They'll give you sign/symbol that you will understand. Good Luck

Laurie

Hi Lil,

Well, these dreams are certainly very upsetting and unfortunately it looks like they should be taken seriously because the same idea has been repeated more than once as well has having the presence of your mother in them.

I would tend to take the dreams to be referring to a personal situation overall partly because one of them occurred on the anniversary of your brother’s death.

Also, while you are viewing the image of your mother as being “her”, it also likely contains many more ideas and subtleties that your unconscious mind is weaving together. For example, “mother” refers to such general realities as the place of origin, to nature, substance and matter, the vegetative functions, the physiological realm and various other basic instinctive core meanings. The location of the grade school in one dream might also be suggesting this idea “getting back to basics” in some way.

Your daughter in one dream is there and is all right. Also your mother denies that the problem relates to “others” such as your brothers, so if these various ideas are taken together there may be unfortunately some hint that a potential physical health problem of your own might be involved.

The fact that she won’t tell you might be a way of further emphasizing the idea of the need for strong ego participation in whatever occurs since there may not be any “easy answers” to some upcoming situation.

However, it’s of course very difficult to anticipate what may occur if anything in a literal sense, whether an illness of your own or someone else in the family, or a severe stress such as loss of income, an accident involving yourself or other members of the family, or some other completely unexpected happening.

It’s also possible that a very striking upheaval in your outlook and attitude could be involved somehow with or without specific outer events being involved and this could be the equivalent in general terms with a severe physical illness for example, and overall things could get “rough” for all concerned.

Perhaps it would be worthwhile to see your family doctor for a complete physical as a precaution. Other steps to take could include such things as thinking carefully before taking on any new stressful activity or risk, having financial matters in good shape overall, and even being prepared for a natural disaster through following an emergency preparedness plan, the idea being that if you’re generally prepared for various eventualities, then your overall stress level will be lower in order to be better able to face a particular problem if it appears.

Another approach that could be tried in order to possibly learn more about some impending problem would be to attempt a waking dialogue with the image of your mother, picking up from a point somewhere in one or more of the dreams. This technique may sound unusual but it can be very effective especially if you learn a little about it before beginning. Analyst Robert Johnson’s book “Inner Work”, available on sites like amazon.com for example, describes this technique in detail as well as providing a valuable approach to looking at dreams.

I hope that at least some of these ideas will help you and let’s trust that nothing too serious will happen but if something challenging does occur, all the best in weathering the situation.
