An assortment of dreams

I have had many vivd dreams, some easy to understand, some carry a message in symbolisim.

Some I have figured out too late. For example....

I dreamed of a man getting shot, I saw him hunting, somehow knew it was early November, and saw him die near water. I had this dream in July. The following November, there was a newscast that a hunter was missing, a couple weeks later he was found in the woods by somerset lake, not that far from me. It was deemed a hunting accident, that somehow he shot himself, but I saw my dream from the perspective of another person. I don't think he shot himself.

I had a re-occuring dream about once a month for a year. I was driving in a pouring rain, at night, on a bridge. My children were in the car. I saw a bright green highway sign that said 110 then the road vanished, the car plunged into the water, I tried to save my children but were never successful, I always woke up right before we all died. I knew my dream meant something when I saw clips from Katrina. Highway 110 was destroyed, broken in half. Seeing those images gave me chills, because it was exactly the place I had dreamt of.

I have also had many, many dreams about everyday life. Dreams that seem meaningless then later, it happens, and I am struck with an undescribable feeling of Deja-Vu. for example....

Around January 2006 I dreamt I was playing a game at the computer while a man played with a dog and my daughter on my couch. I woke up confused. I didn't have a dog, I had a cat, and the man in my dream was not my husband. I divorced out of a bad marraige by the end of the year, my cat died from tainted pet food, I re-united with my high school love after 8 years of not seeing him, and we married in April. We got a dog in May, and my exact dream took place in June.

These dreams are disconcerting when they finally happen, to say the least. I remember them when I have them, usually talk with my mom or a freind after having one I find strange, then forget about it, until it comes to pass a few weeks to a couple of years later.

Does anyone have any tips to better remember these dreams, maybe get a date from my dream while I am dreaming it? Can I make myself look at a calander and remember the date when I wake up? I would say I have had dozens of dreams telling me what was going to happen in my life over the past couple of years, why would I have these dreams if I wasn't to be prepared for the future? Yet, I can't be prepared when I forget about them. Plus, the dreams that are not about me.....what do I do about them?

My most recent dream is everything in my hometown is rubble. Bridges broken, buildings crumbled, roads cracked, trees killed. It looks like something exploded, and the word earthquake resounds in my head. I live in PA and earthquakes just dont happen here, yet I fear that dream is going to come true in the nearish future. Within a couple of years would be my guess, but that could be a year, or 3 years, I have no way of knowing. I feel like there is something I should do, but what can I do? If I told anyone, I would sound like one of the world's biggest crackpots. ......I can see telling people...."My dreams come true, I don't know exactly when but Altoona, PA is going to get hit with an earthquake of some kind. Buildngs, bridges, roads, are all going to be destroyed and thousands are going to die. It's going to look like a post nuclear ghost town here." Someone would have me drug off in a white coat.

As you can probably guess, these things have been bugging me for quite some time, Thanks for giving me a place to unload my mind. Any comments are wlecome, sorry about babbling
