I'm not really sure if you all would consider this necessarily prophetic, but it was something...
A couple of years ago I had a dream about my brother in-law. In my dream the phone kept ringing. I was always the one to answer, but the call was always for my brother in-law. The call he kept receiving was from a friend, who he really didn't want to talk to because the guy often called drunk and my brother in-law didn't enjoy talking to his friend in that state. Which, to me, is understandble. So, I answered the phone for him and told the guy that my brother in-law wasn't available. Then the phone rang again and it kept ringing and I finally answered once again and he asked for my brother in-law again and I still said he wasn't there. After I hung up, the phone rang again, and just kept ringing until finally after long period of no one answering it stopped. Then all of the sudden in my dream my brother in-law started pacing back and forth and he kept saying, "I should have answered the phone... I should have called him back." He was upset and on the verge of tears. It was then that I woke up. To shed some light on the people in my dream: My sister and my brother in-law lived with me for a little bit to get back on their feet and get their own place. Well, while they lived with me one of my brother in-law's friends would always call and my brother in-law would always not answer or someone else would answer and tell the friend that he wasn't there. I had never seen the guy and I had never been one of the people to even speak with him. I didn't even know his name or anything about the friend for that matter other than the fact that he was an alcoholic. The dream that I spoke of above happened a year after my brother in-law and sister moved out and got their own place. So, I never heard anything more about the friend in that time span. Well, after waking from my dream that morning I remember going into the living room. My mother told me that my nephew (the son of my brother in-law) would be coming over and that I'd be watching him. I asked her why my brother in-law couldn't do it and she told me that he was going to a wake. I was confused because I was like... well who died??? She told me a guy named Mike. I asked, "who's Mike?" Then she asked me, "do you remember the guy who would call all of the time drunk and Jason (my brother in-law) always told someone to tell him that he wasn't there?" I immediately was taken back and in shock. Also, I was a tad creeped out; I still don't understand it. |

I told my sister about the dream and she in return told me she had talked to my brother in-law about it. I never asked her what his thoughts were about it, though I was curious. It was an emotional time for him, however. I never felt comfortable discussing it with him or bringing it up at all.
I agree with you though. In my dream, I got the sense that the call from Mike was one where he wanted to say that it was ok.
