My friend Matt and myself have seen the death of our friend in our dreams. The friend we see, Heather, has also had dreams of her death. We have all seen different things but in all of them she ends up dead. In Matt's dream he saw her funeral. In my dream I lost contact with her because I moved away. Her boyfriend called me and told me she was dead. In Heathers dream she saw how she died. She commited suicide. Anyone have any thoughts?

Is your friend troubled? Maybe having problems at home, school, with a boyfriend, etc. Maybe you and Matt are sensing problems with Heather, and your dreams are trying to sort it out.
If Heather is having emotional problems, or you suspect she's being abused, you need to find her help right away. Hopefully your dreams are alerting you to this now before something tragic really does happen. If she is not a troubled person and you are certain nothing is truly wrong, perhaps you are dreaming about your fear of death and your mortality? Maybe it's been on your mind lately? Are you going through a transition in your lives, and are afraid of losing each other to time and distance? Just some thoughts! I wish you the best, Bright Dreamer Last edited by bright_dreamer : 05-28-2007 at 08:27 PM. Reason: forgot something and typos |

My friend Heather has a problem with self esteem. She can get really down on herself sometimes. In her dream she said that she came to school and her boyfriend told her he never wanted to see her again. She said a girl ran in to his arms and she went home found her diving knife and killed herself. None of us could ever see this comeing true. But she does live a troubled life. One time she almost did commet suicide. The only thing that stoped her was her sister Lacia who hid all the knives. That was a couple monthes ago though and she had the dream last week.

Bless you my friend. The dreams you told us above truly indicate that your friend really needs help. I hope you find a way to prevent these dreams from becoming reality. Your friend is lucky to have caring friends like you. Good luck!

Hannah, you are a caring friend. I don't think you, Matt and Heather can handle this yourselves. You and MAtt need to talk to a trusted adult (the school nurse, counselor, teacher, principal, etc.) to get Heather help, now. Attempted suicide is a cry for help, if anything.....your dreams do not have to come true.
Good luck, and God Bless, Bright Dreamer |

Thank you both for your advice. We have tried to talk to trusted adults but they just make it worse. It starts like this: Teachers give her trouble, then her parents here from teachers, then her sister starts geting on her nerves. She wont go to counslers they just make her mood worse. Our other friends have tried to help but we cant. I told her today she should try to build up some self esteem and I explained to her about her teachers and parents and she said that they do drag her down a lot. She just doesnt have any confidence in her self.

I also had a friend once who was very troubled. She committed suicide. We tried everything, talked to her parents, school councellor, we did everything we could, so I completely understand what you mean, Hannah. Sometimes talking to trusted adults only make matters worse. I think the best way to help your friend would be to convince her and make her willing to help herself because in the end, there´s only so much you can do if the person in need of help doesn´t want to cooperate by helping herself. Things like these are always very complicated, and it´s really hard to tell what´d be the best thing to do. Strength my friend.

Matt told Heather's boyfriend, Kevin, about all the dreams and he gave the usual response. "No way. Heather's smarter than that." But Matt, Heather herself, and myself think that she will. He just loves her to much to listen. When Matt tried to explain that he saw her death Kevin told him to shut up. Kevin has never acted this way before and he and Matt are really good friends. He just doesnt want to believe that this might happen.

thank you my friend, as u know these dreams come seldom now. as for those of u who arnt so quick yes this is Heather. i have always had a problem with those dreams. but my dreams have a slightly darker touch to them these days. i would like to remind u there are worse things then death and i couldnt have better friends to help me threw these hard times. but no an adult would only make things worse as i fear they dont see the world as a child/teen does. but thank you to all those concened.
