My gran visited me.

My gran (well my mums gran) - We are a large close family, died 10 days before my wedding, obviously I knew she was old and was ill but I didn't know she was dieing, my family including my mum all live in nottingham, so being that bit futher away I wasn't aware of the full extent of her illness - in fact she had lung cancer.

One night I had a dream vision, It wasn't like a normal dream and I'm not even sure if I was asleep, her face appeared before me, just her face and she said in a chirpy voice 'Don't worry about me, you enjoy your wedding there's no need to cancel it on my account'. The next morning I had pretty much forgotten about it when my mum phoned, 'I've got some bad news' she said, and without out even thinking about it I answered with, 'It's o.k. she told me not to cancel the wedding'.

I was upset as mum explained how she passed, she'd known she was going as she has asked her children to join her(my Nana and brothers) for the night.
This is when I found out that she had lung cancer and I was angry that I hadn't had chance to visit to say good bye, and now I wouldn't be able to make the funeral either.

I look back now and feel that I was the last one to see her really, maybe I got to see her happy rather than ill, and thats how I'll remember her. I didn't make the funeral, but this way she was able to come to my wedding.
