Creepy dream

One morning last October I woke up and remembered the dream I had the night before very vividly, which is quite a rarity for me as I hardly ever remember them at all, let alone in detail. But in my dream I was in a house with some people I didn't know, when all of a sudden a clouder blacker than any I'd ever seen (imagine a black hole in the sky, darker than the darkest night) appeared and began storming ferosciously. Pretty soon there were tornadoes. This was pretty intense (bear in mind, I've sat on a 3rd floor balcony watching hurricanes... multiple... ravage my surroundings with interest, but this part of the dream scared the hell out of me).

When the storms stopped the atmosphere was orange, borderline reddish... very mysterious. Although I wasn't with them, I got the sense that my family was caught in the tornado and couldn't be found. I ran into my ex-girlfriend (no significance to the dream) who wasn't, and isn't, talking to me. Hell, even in the dream she hated me. Very lifelike and realistic stuff. Nevertheless, she agrred to help me find them. Though there were dozens of people helping us look, she was the only person I recognized. After what seemed like a couple of hours of searching and arguing, I awoke from my dream.

The really disturbing part of the dream was later that day, my mom, who lives 250 miles away, called me and told me that while her, my step-dad, and my brother were sitting on the patio of their house, a stray tornado touched down right on top of them. Thankfully it was weak and they were all okay, but it really freaked me out.

You had a geniune prophetic dream, my friend.

The dream was exagerated to let you become aware of the foretelling character of the dream, i don't know why this happens, but it happens.
Here is a link to a book about dreams, i just don't agree with Sivananda that he says that the worlds are unreal, for me they are temporary and real indeed.
For you it would be interesting to go to the last chapter and find the meaning of black clouds with thunder.

very interesting, i have had many dreams in which the exact same thing or something very similar will occur in the physical world, it starts playing with your mind though once you have a lot of them, especially when they are small things...

Hey,

yes, it makes you think, right ?

I just learned today that these realizations are pretty cool, but it is better to form some spiritual habits in the mind, so you cantake these to a next life, realixzations will vanish and do not last, so that was encouraging me to just meditate more and do more yoga and spiritual things.

Anyway, i had a dream not to long ago, that was foretelling my thought a few hours later, it is too long to write down, since it is connected with a long story and it is late now, but EVERYTHING seems to be predestined, so better surrender to God's will for me....for others they might increase their taking pleasure in enjoyment.

hardly, your brain is a powerful tool, weapon, problem solver, whatever you want or whatever you may not want...
many times i can empathize and sympathize and piece things together and figure outcomes of situations, like how people will react, how people think.
imagine that power has been mastered, well it has, in your subconcious..
when you are dreaming your subconcious could piece things together and give you a VERY accurate prediction of the future based on what it knows


just some insight..

Well....

thats very interesting what you write about the mind, it is powerfull, i know and very smart also and when you try to cage it, it fights back with redoubled force, viciously.

So this dream about my thought a few hours later, could be my own mind, pieced things together from thoughts the day before, right ?
Then my mind was very, very creative in trying to tell me something, because the day before i had no notion of what i was going to think, and act upon that thought.
The mind came up with a warning in personalized form, a symbolic action with someone i know, driving a car, heading for a road already taken and a clue/suggestion in the form of a building, denoting some past times of me.

I have learned that there is the body, the mind and the soul.

The body, let's not discuss that, as it is of no use in this topic.
The mind...we are not the mind, therefore we should not identify with the mind, it is a different entity.
The soul, as we are the soul, we can indentify with the soul, as it is blissful, eternally happy, unborn, immortal and not to be destructed by any weapon whatsoever, whenever.

I just had a nice discussion with a devotee here, Jugy Kisor, about this and we talked about the mind.
I wanted to write here that only the soul knows what is going to happen in the future, therefore the mind cannot have knowledge of the future, but i remembered that you get a blueprint of your life to be when you are born and you forget this blueprint because of the different impressions you experience around you as you get older.

So the mind knows what is going to happen in the future with you personally, i agree with your point, your last sentence that the mind can give you a VERY accurate prediction of the future based on what it knows, and it knows the blueprint, subconsiously. Although you have the power, the free will, to change the future, possibilities in the future, by recieving the socalled warningdreams, of which i had many, many in the past.

But then it is already known to the mind and to this blueprint, who we are going to meet in this life, what kind of situations we are going to be in, so that is what we call predesination, right ?
I mean, there are some things we can never change, just read my topic here " some prophetic dreams of the past".
And especially the dream about Rabia Gaind, which i still have black on white. I mean, that is a very heavy case, proof of predestination.
And i have many more.

But what about the prophetic dreams about 9/11 and the Istanbul terror attacks, those are not part of my blueprint, my personal life to come this lifetime. So that must have been known to the soul, because the soul, i just had another dicussion with a different devotee here, Ratna, and he explained that there is another thing to add, and that is the interconnected subconsiousness of mankind, called the supersoul or Paramatman, which denotes that our minds, of all living entities, are interconnected with eachother. So if a terrorist has a blueprint of his life to be and it happens to be that he will blow away some 75 people with a bomb on his waist, body parts all over, that we can have some knowledge of it as well, but i learned just, that this is by the grace of God, that this knowledge is given to you, which serves a particular purpose.

Still makes sense, right ?

So i have learned, just by writing this reply to your reply here in the guesthouse, thinking over it and discussing the nature of things with devotees who just happened to walk around here, that there is the body, made out of the gross elements, the mind, consisting of subtle energy, the intelect and the ego, the soul, which we are and the Supersoul, as the interconnected subconsiousness of mankind.

I keep on learning, every second....

According to Sivananda and the dream symbols, dark clouds indicate great sorrows which need to pass, and if the clouds are breaking up, it means they will pass. So, perhaps my ex (who I miss very much) being in the dream wasn't as insignificant as I first thought. Only problem I have with it is I never saw the coulds break up in the dream. It just sort of cut from the storm scene to the search scene.

I thought i would let you know that orange atmosphere during a tornado is because its a lake effect tornado. Up here in michigan when the tornados come rolling off the great lakes there is a fog the is pure orange, and often times the tornados come out of the sky striaght down pulling up whatever they touch.
