My husband is an avid reader of horror/mystery books. Most times he listens to them on audio. I have no interest in these type of books and have never actually read one. But off and on for the past two weeks or so, it seems I have been dreaming about what he reads (or listens to) in his books. It started out with me telling him about a strange and terrifing dream I had, (where children were being hung in an old schoolhouse) and he says to me "Are you serious? That happened in my book!" It has continued on with parts of books he has been reading. These dreams are disturbing. And alot of times I wake up feeling terrified or sick to my stomach. Could I actually be tapping into his subconscience? Or vice versa? I am so confused. I've never had anything like this happen before. Any insight is appreciated!

Its probobley as you suspect, that your picking up on his thoughts. It would be because you dont agree with what he is reading, and would rather him read something else. You may even have had words of disagrement with him over those book. Im not sure exactley how it comes about, but i do know its a spiritual truth, and way for spiritual things to manifest. I myself didnt have that problem it was with a friend of mine whos ideas about the bible i didnt agree with, but i picked those things up even as if i was reading it myself. Its also with listening to those books, and something about the combination of things that brings a spiritual pass or way through to us.
You could place a bible on his endstand without saying anything about doing it so he sees it everyday, and might pick it up from time to time. Place a book mark inside in mathew so he reads the new testement and not the old first. Then make up your mind you dont care about what he reads, and it should stop. Since the only one its bothering is you, then it must be from your concern. Unless there is a reason he is listening to those books, then you might have to rethink it. |

Hello,
to understand the nature of thoughts, you can start reading this book, it's available as a free online book, it's from Swami Sivananda and it's very interesting and might answer some of your questions, although this Bible idea is also a very good idea. www.dlshq.org/download/thought_power.htm Haribol.

Being in harmony with the thoughts of others is a common human trait and it more frequently manifests itself in situations where there is a close relationship although not necessarily so. It is something of a fascinating paradox which attracts many unprovable theories while the only evidence is that it occurs. I have a cousin who is exceptionally good at this but it frequently causes dissention in her relationships as she is so aware of the feelings and thoughts of those close to her but regards it as natural which it probably is to some people. What you possess is a gift and the problem it seems to be creating for you is your inability to manage it to your advantage. This is a skill that only you can learn for yourself. I hope you succeed and try to feel blest that you possess such a gift. It's a pity your husband could not read something more pleasurable.
