An interesting dream

Sometimes my dreams have a strange tone to them. I don't know how to describe dream tones, I can only catagorise them as the "good fun dream tone" the "strange highly symbolic dream tone" the "nightmare dream tone" and the "this dream is telling you about something that must be done imediately or something important is about to happen and you must act this way tone". Usually, with that last tone, someone will appear in the dream and will tell me that I'm dreaming and give me a message that I must remember when I wake up. Except usually so many other things happen in that dream and that message gets lost. They are so intense and realistic that I never know what to make of them. Sometimes they have made specific references to things that actually happen later.

This one is a combination of that tone and the highly symbolic tone. I was in Europe. I was on my way to Iraq, but I couldn't tell anybody that. I think I was CIA or something. I'm on a train that is going from Eastern Europe to Iraq through Israel. I'm sitting next to this girl who is a college student, and she is very chatty and friendly. She tells me that I have to stop in Jerusalem to tour the city and that I could even stay with her family, that they'd love to meet me. I get off the train with her...go through a couple of lines while waiting to get my visa and passport stamped and some lady leaves her baby carriage next to me while I'm in the passport line. I don't want to leave the line since I'm next but I chase her down. She actually has twins...she's carrying one and left the one in the carriage. She apologises and says that its hard to keep track of two kids and she thought that she had both of them. I don't remember what happens next, except it was focused on a sewer drain. I get back at the end of the line, finally get my passport stamped and go over to the girls house (the one I met on the train).

Her father is very happy to meet me because I am a Quaker and he wants to discuss religon with me. He also knows that I'm good with computers and he gives me his email address (this email address showed up bright and clear, unlike the normal garbled dream letters, except when I woke up I had forgotten it). They give me the address of an art museum I should visit the next day.

I go downstairs in their apartment and meet the downstairs tenets, a brother and sister whose parents have disappeared. The girl is in college, the boy is in high school. They tell me that the art museum isn't very good, but there is a different art museum right next door that is fantastic, and that it also had the Lord of the Rings exhibit which has been travelling around (out of the dream: I missed it when it was in Houston, but I wanted to see it). I go visit this and meet the family, an older couple that own and live in the museum. They tell me that they are about to go away and close the museum, but they give me the keys so I can visit any time.

I go back next door and get invited to dinner by the downstairs tenets (the girl, her boyfriend, and her brother). They make us canned soup. I think it was actually canned ravioli. We are sitting around the table chatting, having a great time. They invite me to stay with them, since its getting late and the upstairs family might already be asleep. I decide to go upstairs and check with them, since they had been the first to offer me hospitality. They seemed disapointed that I was sleeping somewhere else. I go back downstairs and into the girls bedroom, which has two twin beds. But then she says that she shares the room with her brother, but I can sleep at the foot of her bed. I feel like its a little awkward to sleep in the same bed with someone I've never met, but decide to just go with the flow. The boyfriend is still there also, and he's sleeping in bed with the brother. We stay up the night talking and having a good time, and I wake up feeling in mostly a good mood except for this pressing feeling that I was supposed to email the father from the upstairs apartment, except by then I've forgotten his email.

So this time it was the downstairs family that distracted me and caused me to stop visiting the other family which was giving me this email address.

I don't know what I would do if I did remember it though. Send a random email because a dream told me to? Plus if this was a prophetic dream about current events, the situations in Israel and Iraq aren't exactly peaceful or safe...I could have been emailing someone dangerous....or the email would have been a bogus address that bounced. But now it doesn't matter because I've forgotten it.

Edit: Sorry, I know this dream is already really long to read through. I forgot to mention that I had it the week before Israel invaded Lebanon last summer.
