I had a dream last year, and it was quite desturbing for me..
it included myself and another girl standing on a pier and she was holding up different gowns and we were laughing and having a good time. Then my perspective switched over to the other girl, and that's when i realized that none were me really, they were both people i have never seen before in my life. Then i looked down at the water and saw a girl floating there just a few feet from the pier so i leaned over and she was very, very dehydrated and practically bones with skin over them, and yet her face was very beautiful. She tried to speak to me at first but all that came out of her moving mouth was vomit (not the typical kind but white and more like baby spit up..) and then she looked at me and instead of being scared i felt at peace and i just wanted to help her at that point. So i reached out and touched her hand and her head just kind of flopped over towards my direction and she said very raspy "Down by the stream, they're all gonna die.." and then i saw a flash of another girl in the same situation and physical state whisper "They're all gonna die" and then another flash of another one much the same say "They're all gonna die" but it was in rapid res session of one another and they were in the water in a triangular formation around the very pier i was standing on. It bothered me a lot when i woke up because i knew they were the three fates, and yet i also know that the fates are unchanging, so why would they warn me about something that's unchanging? |

Quote:
As "fate" would have it, we ended up being next door neighbors and good friends for a while, I was also able to relate to him that story of my praying grandma and how prayer may have had some part in changing his destiny (He became a Christian) So that's what I did when ever I remembered the dream. Eventually I forgot about it untill four months later when his accidental death was reported over national news, just how I had experienced it in the dream. This was the first time that I knew of that I had a prophetic dream. On one hand you might say my prayers didn't change anything, he still died. If that is what you mean by fate, it didn't change. On the other hand, the family seemed to have an amazing amount of grace to be able to deal with his early death. Did my prayers help their "Fate"? I don't mean to be preachy, but it may be that the premis you believe that fate cannot change. Maybe that needs to change. Like you said, why have a prophetic dream to warn anyone if nothing can be changed. Why even interpret anything! Well, on to your dream... It could be you saw something prophetic. If it doesn't seem to symbolize anything to you personally in perticular. It looks like the girls could be caught in a love triangle of sorts to do with the world of beauty pagents with gowns or fashion and what it takes to maintain that ideal. If it's not anorexia the dehydrated look might translated to having no spirit left, only the flesh. That could also be a wasted life persuit. So either you got very thirsty during the night. or there's a warning, maybe not for you, but for some girls caught in that situation. If there was a force that didn't want you to interfere... he might also suggest that fate cannot be changed. I guess then you would be free to do nothing at all. I happen to believe even God changes His mind once in a while.

it's not that it was fate.. its that they were the actual 3 fates of mythology its like i got a feeling that they were warning me of something huge that is going to happen.. so of course i looked them up in mythology and saw that they were unyielding and unchanging and basically would not change their plans no matter what...
strange thing is that i dont believe in mythology like that.. sure its a nice story but to actually believe in it is another thing. quite frankly i dont really call the higher power that i know must be there any name.. i just make myself aware that it is there and i dont bring harm to others, may not be good enough to call myself religious, but im more of a spiritual person in a non religious way i guess... if the higher power is named god for some people and other names for other people who am i to say that its not the same higher power given nicknames from different cultures.. same as other cultures have other languages... anyway i got way off topic there... but i mean i've had my dreams with my higher power which i will call god because it has to have some sort of name after all... where we have had conversations and what nots between him and i (never saw his face mind you, but his voice was like thunder that never hurt your ears and the light was as bright as the sun but white and didnt hurt to look at and kind of pulsated while he spoke... but i've never seen the three fates before in my lifetime... all i can say is that i told everyone i know to stay away from water or anything that could be referred to as a stream... |
