Dream
I had this dream a few years ago. Its significant in that it really offers imagery that connects to nothing in my known world - at that time nor now.
I am standing at the top of a theater like setting - but its outdoors - looking down towards a stage area. I am at what would be the farthest row of seats - but there are no seats - there is someone next to me - but I dont know who - a male presence, my partner I feel. where seats might be are posts - Giant posts, like telephone poles, that are stuck in the ground with large gaps between them - hopping from one post to the other is almost impossible. I am standing on a post, and there is no ground below - the posts are soo tall that there is an infinite space beneath - and I can feel the fear of anticipating a potential fall, although I know I will not fall. I make my way down the posts - to the stage. On the stage area is a larger than normal figure - an ancient figure very much of Royalty or of some high place. I approach and when I am sort of floating before the figure its a ceremony - I am being honored. the figure looks Eygyptian has a high hat - tall thin sort of and is tall and thin and has a gauntly face - the color of skin is dark almost greyish. There is no light almost total darkness, and I am aware of existence on the outskirts of this scene - regular people.
The ancient opens its hand and in it is a Scarab - i dont even know really what one would look like, maybe a big bug, but its a dark big scarab and its on a necklace - There is nothing verbally communicated. I can feel that this ceremoney is very very presitgious I have done something - nothing for myself - I have done something for others - something bigger than life, and the whole thing is serene, quiet and meek. I look at the amulet scarab that sits on the ancients hand and I sort of nod my head in acceptance and in silent recognition of what I am being presented with. I turn and then am making my way among the posts again - but there is a slight urgency to move and take action.
I have no idea - the whole dream was very real, and I dream a lot, have lucid dreams all the time and am very very familiar with my dreams. I have dreams before events, I have dreams about people and their actions that are true - and this dream - had nothing to do with anything like that. It was very old - and very familiar - there was no obscurity - no bewilderment - everything was very known and silent.
