I meet people in my dreams before I meet them in reality

I have had many dreams over my life in which I meet a character in my dream, and then a few days or months later, I meet them in reality.

The most significant of these was my ex-boyfriend who who I dreamt about and then met him about 3 months later, and also my best friend who I met around 4 years ago, but had dreamt about before this time.

I started university two years ago, and it seemed that most of the new people I met, I had either dreamed about, or seemed very familiar to me, as if I had met them before.

I also have frequent occurances of de ja vu when I am in a situation which I have dreamed of being in before.

My sister also has dreams about disasters happening before they do. For example she has dreamed about plane crashes and national disasters such as earthquakes or hurricanes occuring before they have done. She also dreamt about the kidnapping/murder of Madeleine McCann in Portugal before it happened or was reported on the news.

what you say is very interesting. How did you feel about these dreams? It seems to me you are pretty close to these people, as you say you dreamed of your ex-boyfriend and a best friend.
I am asking because it happened to me as well and I didn't know how to react. I met this person, we are still friends, ok, but I have the feeling one has to be very careful with these dreams. You know, when you happen to know things from somebody's personal life, which you think are just part of the "dream", but prove to be true, that's kind of odd.

I personally don't believe in coincidences though, especially when it comes to dreams
