A dream years ago....

Hi everyone. Years ago I had a dream,(I dreamt that I was at home and in the middle of a real bad earthquake, I was sitting on the floor in the hallway holding my little boy as I rocked back and fourth I was praying saying, Lord please let this earthquake pass, please keep us safe, please Lord.) That was it. The next morning I went into the kitchen and I could'nt stop thinking about it. I said out loud (We must be going to have an earthquake huh Lord.) As soon as I said that I heard a loud voice saying to me, " YOUR HOUSE WILL SHAKE BUT IT WILL NOT FALL" I knew it was jesus. From that day on until now I have been hit with some pretty major stuff. And those words always come to mind when I am going through something. I wonder if my house will always be shaken or if it will stop. What do you think? Any input on this. I have had periods of rest but sometimes it seems like just enough rest for the next battle. It has been 10 years.

I always consider it very important when prayer takes place in a dream. You were doing the best possible thing when the earthquake hit - you were crying out to God. Jesus' promise that your house wouldn't fall, is awesome!
In all, I'd say that Jesus has personalized for you the summation of biblical promises - we wouldn't necessarily avoid all problems, but He would preserve us through those problems. The fact that His promise was centered around the earthquake, speaks of His special, personal care for you, in a way that targets your fears, being a resident of California .
This was a HUGE faith booster, inoculating you against worry. Whenever rumblings of the ground (or in your life) happen, you are predisposed to remember His words, and then to praise Him for what He will do for you!
When other people shake with fear, you will stand strong, remembering His promise. How excellent is our God!
