Default dreams come true in 3 days most of the time.

For many years, I have dreams that come true in three days. It can be about anything and anyone. There are times when I dream and I fear that it might happen to someone I know, so I sometimes warn them just in case. Later, I find out that it happened on the news or it was something that was going to happen on TV.

For example, I had a dream that I was in a room that had loud music playing. In that room, there were 12 people: 6 on my left and 6 on my right. They were all dressed in white. At the end of the row of people, I saw a young man standing on a stool or chair with a rope around his neck. He was crying. I went up to him, but by the time I got there, he kicked off whatever that was holding him up so he can hang himself. I quickly wrapped my arms around his legs trying to hold him up. I started crying to the crowd of people to please help me hold him up, please help him. None of the people moved. The young man started crying to GOD saying that he is not ready to go...asking for GOD to help him. I finally lost my grip and he hung there...dead. But as the rope finally took out his last breath, I also felt my last breath in my dream. I finally woke up.

In about 3 days to a week later, I received a phone call from a family member that lives up north. He told me that one of his friend's son died. I choked up. I asked him how did he die and he told me that his mother found him hanging from a rope around his neck. I couldn't believe what I heard. My brother continued to tell me why this young did what he did. I felt so bad and I told my brother what I had dreamed.

This was my example and the truth of one of my dreams that come true. I have asked pastors about this and they just tell me to pray to the LORD so the dreams would go away or don't come true. But I can't avoid them at all.

What would you consider that I am? Do you consider this a gift from GOD or a curse?

Please help me. I have indeed searched high and low for people to tell me what does this all mean.

Thank you for your time.

Let me ask, are these prophetic dreams always dealing with a negative outcome? Even, if this is the case....you need to find the positive of these messages. I have myself experience dreams to come true, & sometimes their disturbing, but I have learned to Embrace them anyways to my fullest extent.
Why? because what if these visions are just "practice" for something BIGGER your meant to do later in life? It might not seem like a blessing right now, but maybe God wants you to become more aware of your surroundings & your emotions that are attached to those surroundings. To become more in-tuned with the world around you...even thoughts have power to influence those around us.
My dreams that initially were prophetic were usually a warning of some sort,....after a few years of analyzing them & developing my understanding they became stronger more naturally. So every once in a while, the dreams are very Vivid with a beautiful message of either someone around me or for myself. You have to ask God for guidance though, to be sure it is from him & his angels. Always do this to make sure you are on the correct path.
Growing up as a kid & adolescent I had many disturbing dreams that I shunned because of their nature. It wasnt until my early 20's that I was interested in understanding them...by doing this I was able to understand myself & what God had planned for me. By ignoring this gift you will only be denying the person your suppose to become...and will take longer to receive the perspective as a Gift.
Godbless,
Hazel

Hello!
Read Rudolf Steiner, the Christian seer. (There's a Steiner e-library online). He correctly foresaw that we'd develop a natural clairvoyance. eg, in Steiner's lectures 'The Reappearance of Christ in the Etheric', he says of the future human (that's us):
"He will have pictures and premonitions of events in the spiritual world, and will find that such events are carried out on the physical plane after three or four days. He will see certain things in etheric pictures and will know that tomorrow, or in a few days, this or that will take place."
This is becoming more & more normal, as you'll see if you look around this forum! : )

Question jbmele....

Can you tell me about any other dreams you have had that were prophetic, besides just this one? I ask this because Im wondering if you are having prophetic dreams or astral travel....(?)

You dont have to list tons of dreams or anything like that I just want another example of your dreaming where something has happened after the fact. If you have time and if you can post another one, Im interested to hear about it....Thanks!

Well, I do have many kind of dreams. But there are too many to list. So, the dreams are not always negative.

This article explains very well the ideas that flowed through me as I read your post. Hope it's helpful! Take or toss as you see fit, of course.

HO'OPONOPONO
by Joe Vitale

"Two years ago, I heard about a therapist in Hawaii who cured a complete ward of criminally insane patients without ever seeing any of them. The psychologist would study an inmate's chart and then look within himself to see how he created that person's illness. As he improved himself, the patient improved.

When I first heard this story, I thought it was an urban legend. How could anyone heal anyone else by healing himself? How could even the best self-improvement master cure the criminally insane" It didn't make any sense. It wasn't logical, so I dismissed the story.

However, I heard it again a year later. I heard that the therapist had used a Hawaiian healing process called ho 'oponopono. I had never heard of it, yet I couldn't let it leave my mind. If the story was at all true, I had to know more. I had always understood "total responsibility" to mean that I am responsible for what I think and do. Beyond that, it's out of my hands. I think that most people think of total responsibility that way. We're responsible for what we do, not what anyone else does - but that's wrong.

The Hawaiian therapist who healed those mentally ill people would teach me an advanced new perspective about total responsibility. His name is Dr. Ihaleakala Hew Len. We probably spent an hour talking on our first phone call. I asked him to tell me the complete story of his work as a therapist.

He explained that he worked at Hawaii State Hospital for four years.

That ward where they kept the criminally insane was dangerous.

Psychologists quit on a monthly basis. The staff called in sick a lot or simply quit. People would walk through that ward with their backs against the wall, afraid of being attacked by patients. It was not a pleasant place to live, work, or visit.

Dr. Len told me that he never saw patients. He agreed to have an office and to review their files. While he looked at those files, he would work on himself. As he worked on himself, patients began to heal.

After a few months, patients that had to be shackled were being allowed to walk freely, he told me. Others who had to be heavily medicated were getting off their medications. And those who had no chance of ever being released were being freed. I was in awe. "Not only that," he went on, "but the staff began to enjoy coming to work. Absenteeism and turnover disappeared. We ended up with more staff than we needed because patients were being released, and all the staff was showing up to work. Today, that ward is closed."

This is where I had to ask the million dollar question: "What were you doing within yourself that caused those people to change?"

"I was simply healing the part of me that created them," he said. I didn't understand. Dr. Len explained that total responsibility for your life means that everything in your life- simply because it is in your life - is your responsibility. In a literal sense the entire world is your creation.

Whew. This is tough to swallow. Being responsible for what I say or do is one thing. Being responsible for what everyone in my life says or does is quite another. Yet, the truth is this: if you take complete responsibility for your life, then everything you see, hear, taste, touch, or in any way experience is your responsibility because it is in your life. This means that terrorist activity, the president, the economy or anything you experience and don't like - is up for you to heal. They don't exist, in a manner of speaking, except as projections from inside you. The problem isn't with them, it's with you, and to change them, you have to change you.

I know this is tough to grasp, let alone accept or actually live. Blame is far easier than total responsibility, but as I spoke with Dr. Len, I began to realize that healing for him and in ho 'oponopono means loving yourself.

If you want to improve your life, you have to heal your life. If you want to cure anyone, even a mentally ill criminal you do it by healing you.

I asked Dr. Len how he went about healing himself. What was he doing, exactly, when he looked at those patients' files? "I just kept saying, "I'm sorry" and "I love you" over and over again," he explained.

"That's it"

"That's it. "

Turns out that loving yourself is the greatest way to improve yourself, and as you improve yourself, you improve your world.

Perhaps you can see how this relates to the dreams you receive. None of us are helpless to create change. We just need to realize that the place for taking action is inside ourselves. Each dream points to an aspect of Self that needs healing (when the dreams are "negative"), and love is the cure. Self-love. Certainly there will be people in the world, near and far, who reflect those parts of Self back to us, and yes they'll benefit from our intentional application of love to that part of our own Self, applied inwardly.

Blessings!

Hi Jbmele,

I also have many precognitive dreams, and for world events, most of them happen in 0-14 days, that is my normal window. For those, I usually only have one dream about the event. But for something major, like 9/11, I am likely to have multiple dreams over a longer period of time. Rarely is there enough information in such dreams to actually change events, but I do think this is a gift from God/dess, and I find that at the very least, they help prepare me emotionally for the events to come, and I suspect they do that even if I don't remember the dreams. We think of out of body experiences as journeys to a different place, but we also journey to different times, including the future, to see what's coming towards us. Many people also seem to be able to journey to the past, remembering past lives, or viewing historic events. I've not yet had that happen, but I do believe it's possible.

Many of my precognitive dreams that are related to self and family, on the other hand, have more potential for changing events, especially if the dreams are about coming health problems, so those I'm more likely to share with some expectation of benefit. Certainly, the ones I have of my self have benefit, as I successfully work with the healing advice given by them. So yes, I do find such dreams a gift from God/dess.

They take time to learn to understand of course, like all our dreams do!

Hi Sowelu,

As one who spent a couple of years as a volunteer in a Connecticut state mental hospital in Norwich, which included patients who were criminally insane, I find the article very interesting. I was studying Occupational Therapy with a minor in Psychology at the time, and this was also part of healing from my own clinical depression. I was working with a lot of different people on a men's ward, in an arts and crafts program. Some of the men in our group (I worked with an employee who specialized in arts and crafts) were murderers and rapists. Friends of mine at church couldn't understand how I could do this at all.

We had to have keys to the elevator, and I wasn't supposed to take anyone up or down alone, only with a staff member, but in practical practice, that didn't always work out! I did sometimes take someone from the classroom to the ward alone. And had to deal with some fear in regard to that, but it was never overwhelming. Heck, I was clinically depressed! I knew some of the factors that can affect a person, and why someone might act in reprehensible ways.

I can't say that I felt that I was personally responsible for their behavior, but I did have compassion and insight into the things in our lives that both affect and effect certain kinds of behaviors. I loved doing that volunteer work. Sadly, that hospital, which was close to my home, was shut down some years ago, so it's not an option anymore. Spending cutbacks mean less options for people who need them most, sadly.

I remember one man, who had committed a rape and murder, who made the most exquisite model airplanes, from scratch, not from a kit. He loved that group and the opportunity it gave him to do something he loved. I was never afraid of him, really, during group. Or of anyone else there. Which may be odd. I don't know if I could say the same if I encountered them outside the hospital setting though.

I will copy your article and give it some more thought. It's an interesting concept, for sure!

Wow! That Ho'oponopono thing is so interesting! Two things came across my mind as I was reading "Be the change you want to see in the world" and "love your neighbour as yourself". Really, when something that big comes across me I know things are changing. Thanks for sharing. ^^
