Dream that I don't want to come true...

I've had a few dreams before that have come true. They have never been exactly the same as in my dreams, and this is where I think because we make choices it has altered the future slightly. For example I had a dream that I would see my cousin who I hadn't seen in several years. A few months later we got back in touch and I went to her house to see the family. Anyway the dream was of me sitting at a table eating lunch, and it happened pretty much the same except I was in a different seat and eating something different. Another example I had a dream I was going on the Aussie Ladette to Lady and going to London (something I had always wanted to do). Well I am going to London but I didn't go on the show. My stepmum also had a dream that she was seeing me of at the airport. Another dream was of me working at another stable (at the time I was working at a nursery) and I had sworn black and blue I'd never work at another stable. I acutally remember waking up and saying that was a load of c*** I'd never work there again. Low and behold I've been at the stable for nearly a year now.

Anyway I had a dream that I was kissing my stepmums best friends son (he's 17 and I'm 20) and I really don't want it to happen. We're close as friends and we flirt a bit but I don't want things to get complicated. I know that we can make choices but will it stuff things up? I know that following what my dreams have predicted before has been for the good, would this stuff things up? Having these dreams and them actually happening I'm thinking its meaning that I'm on the path that I'm meant to be on?

I've also had a dream that I was kissing a close friend of mine, we were close a few years ago but nothing has happened since but I don't know what will become of this one because I had this dream over a year ago. And nothings happened. But maybe thinking on it so much has stopped it from happening?

This is also so confusing, I don't know what to make of it.

Hi Shonnie,

There are all kinds of dreams, Shonnie, including precognitive ones. Many of those dreams are what Sigmund Frued termed "wish fulfillment." This may be what the dream of kissing your close friend was; maybe you were feeling lonely and nostalgic, so the dream brought you what you were wishing for.

I wish I could say there's an easy way to sort the precognitive dreams out from the more psychological ones, but there just isn't. Over time, with experience, you will probably have a better grasp on it, but you may never actually know for sure which are which.

Precognitive dreams tend to have a brightness to them sometimes, brighter colors, they stand out more, feel more real or realistic, as if you are having a real experience. But then, too, many of my precognitive dreams are all spoken, no images, but that is because I tend to be more clairaudient than clairvoyant. I wish I could give you some easy advice! One book that helped me going into all this was _The Psychic Pathway_ by Sonia Choquette. She covers a lot of basics on fostering and understanding psychic abilities, both in dreams and awake. You might like it!

And yes, the thread Mwyna recommended is a good one too!

As for the young man, it's kind of up to you whether you want to get involved with a younger guy. Two of my sons married women several years older than they are, and it was good for a long time with both, though they've recently gotten divorced and now are married to or living with women about ten years younger than they are. My third son has also dated and lived with older women, though he's never been married. Shrug. Relationships get so confusing sometimes, don't they? If you don't feel sure, give it time! And remember, dreams about him may also simply be "wish fulfillment" or trying things on for size in a safe way, in a dream.

i've had dreams like those that you've had. once i dreamed of a solar eclipse and that it was a school day but no school. and it was weird. but it came true. that i would say is that some people or everyone once in awhile or a lot in case cases have dreams that are more of a prediction then a dream. but not every thing will come true.


the dream you happen about kissing your close friend........that's younger than you i very normal........i would say. i once had a dream like that. i hated it and i didn't want it to come true. but the more i tried to stop it the more true it became. and even so i guess it would of happen either way.

so my advice to you is...........don't fight it. just go with it. that way it will be more less tense on you.......less of a guilt if you like it. and you can trust me when i say no matter how much you fight it, some where in side you will make you wonder.
