Oh, gardening tips are good! I do read there a bit on occasion, but never have subscribed to it. I find the format a bit difficult to follow... isn't it laid out oddly? Like a snake curling up the screen... LOL!

yes it's layed out very strangely. I am unsure if I read the last posts first or the first posts first

LOL... yes, that's it! I am still fonder of email lists, really, like yahoogroups, because I can get them all in my email, in order, and answer offline, and then send all my replies at once, which is very cool!
But this Dream Central site is okay too... it's sensibly laid out! I just dislike tying up the phone for hours on end while I post! |

Yes! It's still the cheapest, and I really only use the computer for groups like this and email most of the time. Being on a fixed income, now that jewelry is not moving well at all, is the pits, and kind of leaves me without as many options as I'd like! I'll be glad when the economy improves... I guess there was a hopeful sign in the Dow yesterday! I'm not closing my business, but it's sort of basically in hiatus right now. Nice thing about a very small business is that one can do that! It's meant to supplement my income, and pay for extras, but when it dries up, there are no extras!

Hopefully your business will be up soon! I too watch the dow, ftse etc on the news to see how the economy is coming along (or not as the case seems to be most often lately). |

Yeys, tough times is right. I thought I'd made sure exactly what was being done for Lily today, and got to the vet, and they wanted to do a bunch of other shots and tests, more than doubling what they'd said I'd be paying.. .argh! I couldn't do it. I have to go back twice next month in order to get it all done, and spread out the payments, because I quit using credit cards. Somehow, my car needs an oil change too. It never ends! Sigh.
I can call my one lone active customer after Aug. 1, so maybe that will generate at least some cash! I need to find new customers, but they're all having a hard year, so really aren't buying. Anyway, AOL keeps dial-up going, though I can also keep their email and use another provider, and that's actually free if I do that. They're still pretty reasonable, so I stick with them, and I have the cheapest cable tv and phone. None of the new programs seem to come anywhere close to what I'm paying, even with all their highly touted package deals. |
