Im not going to reach the age of 40!?

Last night I dreamt that i was talking to my mother about my age.
I remember saying to her how i didn't want to be 40 years old. Then i said "actually, i don't think i'll reach 40, i probably won't even reach 38".
This is all i can remember.

I found it odd that i actually remembered what i said, usually in dreams i only remember what other people say, i rarely remember anything that i say.

I am 21 years old and perfectly healthy.

Anyway, what do you think this dream could mean?

She had dreams for years that she was going to die at an early age, and when she reached that age, she developed breast cancer. Interestingly though, she started having dreams which helped her to heal the cancer, and was given a choice to live, and is now out there teaching others how to use dream imagery to heal themselves. It's an interesting story!

On the other hand, 40 may have a symbolic meaning. I see forty and think of the Latin word forte (strength), from which we get the word fortitude. So not reaching forty may say something about not being strong in some way totally unrelated to physical health or longevity. Do you think you are a strong person?

Forty is also a period of initiation or trial, as in Jesus spending forty days in the wilderness, being tempted by the devil. Lent is thus forty days long. Moses was on Mt. Sinai for forty days. Mohammad received his call at age forty. There's a lot of symbolism attached to the number. I, myself, got clobbered awake by my dreams right after my fortieth birthday, and then began to open up psychically as well. That was twenty two years ago!

I asked my spirit guide one day when I was dying, and he said when I'm 77. I still don't know if he meant that literally, or symbolically though. I'll worry about it when I turn 76!

Actually, worry is the wrong word. Death is the least of what worries me.

I agree, you'll live way past 40. This is not about a potential exit date, but perhaps some underlying fear you have.

The fact that you've thought that you will not reach 40 means that you have a chance to reach it and I think you will. It might be a warning to lead a healthy life style, regular check ups at doctor's and also pray that you live longer. The prayer can change destiny.
