The Holy Spirit?

I recently had a dream that I think has a meaning, and therefore I've been uneasy due to the fact that I don't know what it means.

I dreamt that someone handed me a bag, and when I opened it, two white doves flew out from it; in my dream I was in awe when I saw this, then I felt something scratching my head, as a reflex I passed my hand over my head, and a small dove that appeared to have just hatched, fell to the ground.

I dreamt this about 4 months ago, but I feel the need to know what this means.

the Holy Spirit is the guide that leads to Jesus.

I'd say yes, the doves are symbols of the Holy Spirit, as a dove descended on Jesus at his Baptism, but doves were also symbols of the Goddess in earlier matriarchal religions. Two doves is interesting, perhaps both male and female, patriarchal and matriarchal, which together, beget a new spirit... a spiritual rebirth... out of being simply a material man and becoming a spiritual one.

Hmmmm... regarding your other reply, I think rather that Jesus is the guide who leads to the Holy Spirit, not vice versa. Because he said so when he told the disciples that he had to leave them now, so the Holy Spirit could descend on them. The Baptism in water for the remission of sins, which was what Jesus taught, comes first. Then comes the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, after Jesus is crucified and risen. Jesus knew this. It's there, but one has to learn to understand what they're reading before it fully makes sense. Jesus came to bring us to the Holy Spirit, so we could then become conscious of that indwelling Spirit, and learn to communicate with God/dess for ourselves... inside... without outer teachers.

In Catholicism, we believe that God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit are One. We call it, the Blessed Trinity. I assume that since the doves came from you head, perhaps you have a way of bringing peace to others. I would recommend finding out the fruits of the Spirit. Catholics have identified seven. Perhaps you show three gifts. Anyone can show more than that. Catholic teachings are a great reference point for you in regards to the Holy Spirit. If you'd like, I can post some links.

The 2 can be to discern, it can also be a double portion the Lord has for you, through the baptism of the Holy Spirit. And you are wondering in the dream or maybe tryn' to discern what is going on?
Another thought, The two doves birthed one and left it for you, Now what will you do with what you've been given?
The best way to find out what this is "Seek Jesus" the one who has all the answers and the truth....He has something just for you!
