Unhappy Dream: Farrah Fawcett; April 7, 2008

Dream: Farrah Fawcett; April 7, 2008

I dreamed that I had some kind of evidence against a woman who looked a lot like Farrah Fawcett, and I had to turn her in, and I knew she'd be arrested. Before I left to go do that, I gave her a dozen eggs. EOD

Farrah Fawcett had been in the news the day before due to having been returning from Germany where she was getting some cancer treatments that aren't allowed in the U.S., and having had an embolism on the long plane ride. She's been in the news a lot since, because of a huge weight loss from the cancer, and was on aol's front page again this morning, because someone said she only weighs 86 pounds. Not true I gather... she weighs 101. But the number "86" means to nix, eject, kill or exterminate someone... yikes. So it caught my eye.

I always think of it too with the RU486 method of birth control. R U for 86'ing a child? Well, something to think about!

I think this dream is telling me she will be dying soon (being arrested), but that she has rebirth (eggs) to look forward to.

I dream a lot of deaths of celebrities and family members that are coming, but this one was unusually symbolic for me. Usually, they're very direct, like when the last Pope died, I saw two Tarot cards: The Hierophant and Death. When Princess Margaret died, I saw a woman in a hospital bed, and then heard and saw printed the name "Margaret." Both dreams came just before their actual deaths.

I've been a little quiet on the precognitive front of late. Kind of stressed over the economy, and lack of jewelry sales for my business, etc. Stress seems to put a damper on things, for sure!

tarot cards.. aren't those little cards with pictures on them? i can imagine how important their messages must be to you, but appearance-wise it would look so much cooler throwing dry bones on the ground in interesting patterns. in fact, carry a little bag of bones around with you and throw them about on all occasions.

Yes, well, they *are* little cards with pictures on them, of course, but they were appearing in my dreams before I ever saw a deck of them. You see, the Waite-Ryder deck is a series of archetypal symbols, studied even by the likes of psychologist Carl Jung who wrote a book about them. My guide uses them, especially the Major Arcana, as a shorthand way of sending messages, so instead of seeing a whole lot of confusing images to understand the Pope is dying, say, I get to see two cards... the Hierophant, who is a religious leader... and Death. Sometimes, I just get the numbers, and know to look at the cards. It's convenient, it works well, and somehow, I doubt the dry bones would serve the same purpose, though they might work for a divining tool to focus on and bring ones own visions, sort of like tasseomancy (reading tea leaves) or a crystal ball. They're just tools, you know, that help bring out the intuitive knowledge. It's not like you put faith in the cards or whatever, but you can recognize them as tools and as serving a purpose in communication of symbol.

I don't actually do card readings, or carry them around with me. I use them as part of my dreamwork, because the dreams themselves guided me to do so.

I was sorry to see this dream come true, and also that Farrah Fawcett's death was so overshadowed by Michael Jackson's on the same day, that she's been practically ignored in the media. I know that I always thought a lot of her for quitting "Charlie's Angels" in order to find a way to be a serious actress and not just a sex symbol. I remember a lot of her later movies, when she took on some really heavy roles, as an abused wife, a rape victim, an Old West prostitute who a cancer victim asked to come marry her husband and raise her children, and trained her to do it!, and did them all outstandingly well! She wasn't just the fluff of Charlie's Angels at all! She could act! And she was just my age, too young to leave, really.

She will be missed.
