How To Know If A Dream Is God Inspired...BEFOREHAND.

how do you know if a dream is prophetic BEFORE the encrypted event of the dream takes place?


basically what am I asking is, how do you know if a dream is from God or not?

Well, prophetic dreams are usually very Vivid.
But beforehand I would say for example, you asked God for a specific Answer & he knows in your heart that you are sincere...then he will show you in your dream by answering your question.

Also, sometimes you might get a prophetic dream that you werent even expecting beforehand, but they just happen....maybe to Warn you for your future.

To me, I personally believe that if its prophetic then it is from God, because only he cares about our future well-being. For example, I had a dream when I was 12 of getting in a car accident by flying off this Cliff.
About 4rys later I got in a car accident that was almost identical to the dream,..but I knew in that SPLIT second to Steer to the Left (not the Right) because that is where the Cliff was.
We were literally about the fly off the Exit ramp, but that dream 4yrs Prior prepared me in making the Correct decision......which Saved my & my cousins Lives...

Oh I know it's easy to discern wether or not a dream is of any Prophetic/Divine Interventional quality AFTER, what I wish to know is if there are clues in certain dreams that enlighten the dreamer to understand whether or not the dream is from themselves or beyond themselves?

Hi Switchback. There are some ways that perhaps you can tell if a dream is from God or from your ownself.

1. When you have a dream about something that you were not thinking about at all in anyway. For instance I had a dream one night about standing by a swimming pool and I saw one of my friends and she told me she was going swimming. I thought that dream meant nothing at all, it absolutely came out of nowhere. A few weeks after that dream she called me and told me she was going swimming next year. I was totally shocked. Because I did not know she even swam regularly in the first place. And the place she was going to swim has a big pool.

2. When you have a dream from yourself it tends to involve things you are thinking about, people, situations, things going on in society. It sometimes involve a lot of emotions in the dream. So you may feel a lot, of fear or sadness or hurt or love. Also sometimes as well if you sleep in front of the television or fall asleep listening to music you can dream about those things you are hearing and seeing. So some random things we dream about can be from our what we hear around us. Everyday we hear thousands of things with our ear, we see thousands of things with our eyes and our sunconscious captures it all. Also sometimes medicines also can disrupt people's dreams as well where a person may be taking a certain medication and as a result their dreams may become very vivid and may be abnormal for them. Stress also can have an impact on dreams, also certain foods we eat, certain foods we smell can impact our dreams as well.

3. God does gives us dream that sometimes may seem like it has no meaning and that is where the difficult part comes in. My advice would be to write down the dreams you have every night and pray and ask God to help you to know which dreams are from him.

4. Disaster dreams can be from us as well as from God. Sometimes for instance a person may dream of tornadoes coming their way and it is because subconsciously they are feeling worried over something or in alot of emotional turmoil such as sadness, anger and that is what the tornado represent. Now sometimes a person may dream of a tornado and God may be indicating to them that an actual tornado is heading their way. How can I know whether it is my emotions or from God? It depends on the state of mind of the person. If a person is generally alright emotionally and dream of tornadoes heading their way it could be a warning from God that either a physical tornado is coming or a difficult situation is up ahead for them.

5. In terms of future crisis in dreams I would caution everyone to be very careful about making predictions. Sometimes we see the future in dreams as a result of what we feel will take place in the future not necessairly what God is saying. So be very very careful. I know that God does give people dreams about the future both Christians and Non-Christians but my advcie is to be careful.

I also will say that if God knows a person is genuinely concerned about their nation or something else in their life he sometimes will give them dreams concerning that situation to warn them or show them what is ahead.

what about dreams that contradict each other?


i know i've had dreams where one event happens but then in another, the complete opposite occurs.


is this of my own confusion/mind or satan?
