Fallen Giant Bald Eagle

Hi,

I had a dream last night that is bothering me so much that it moved me to seek others' opinions on it, thus this my first post.

In my dream I walked out onto a balcony of a house high up on a hillside (never seen before). The sky was very grey as if a storm was soon to hit. But slowly a giant bald eagle began to descend through the dark clouds. He was absolutely massive in the sky, about the size of the alien ships in the movie Independence day, taking up the whole sky.

The thing that's really bothering me is that he was falling as if dead, talons up, back and wings down, clearly dead. It took a long time for him to actually descend. I remember being the only person that could see him. No one else would look up when I tried to point him out. I was was frantic!

When he finally hit the earth, it was a quiet absorbed landing, not the earth shaking explosive landing that a thing of that size would really cause. People started taking giant feathers off of it to keep as souvenirs.

Aside from one idiot running past with one of Britney Spears white kinky boots (wierd, this really makes me feel as if I have a screw loose), no one's actions were really out of place. I was more concerned about the potential numbers and sizes of unseen behemoths coming down from above, beyond our sight and/or knowledge. I remember thinking, "Oh God, what else is coming down?!!" I was really worried about what else might fall from above. That's pretty much all I can remember of the dream.

Is this anxiety over recent political events worrying me? I seriously don't want to think my dreams are prophetic of large scale problems. I have lots of lucid dreams, but rarely get upset by them. For many I'm aware I'm dreaming at the time. This one bothered me though.

Yes political events may make sense. The eagle is the possible symbol of America. So yes it could be about politics. What were your feelings the day before. Was politics on your mind then. The previous day is particularly important in generating dreams.

Hi Baldilocks,
Dreams are about what is happening to you in the sleep. Your subconscious creates the dream to bring you to a level of consciousness where your brain can comprehend what the subconscious wants you to do.
my guess is that your subconscious was telling you to change sleeping position by moving your head and neck. The dreamscape is so dramatic that you actually make th movement the dream suggests; you follow the bird down by actually moving your head and turning towards where the bird had fallen. After you take up a more comfortable sleeping position

You can actually sense the decrescendo in the dream. However by the end of the dream you're probably ready to wake up anyway and the dream does the waking by making you think:"Oh God, what else is coming down?!!"
It is all very subtle and in a way very beautiful how dreams works!

Hi Baldilox. I believe that God gave you that dream and he gave you to show you that America itself is falling. I believe that the reason why persons were taking souvenirs is because America is no more and they want something to remind them of how America use to be...

To me it represents (I believe also from God) that many people, unlike yourself, are paying much attention to what is really going on. They are keeping their heads in the sand so to speak. The Brittney Spears boot being taken, like the feathers, are showing you how Americans are very material oriented, careing less about the more critical things in life like the downfall of of our once great nation. I was thinking the similar the bald eagle is the fall of America. Which we can see now is going on.

I pay close attention to my dreams and I pay close attention to details. It is very interesting that you would dream of a bald eagle, which to me represents North America, and the fact that it was falling, and the amount of time it took to fall. It all add up to present events in my opinion. Notice the size of the bald eagle as well!! I also find it interesting that people were coming by and taking feather's as souvenirs. I believe your dream was very prophetic.

What do I think? The Eagle is the US, in this case the world (large size) leader of the financial world. It's already mortally wounded/dead. People just haven't realized it yet.( I think it broke last year, and because of all the efforts it still looks as though it can be saved. ) You have shown in this dream, you know better. You have already dropped (!) to the bottom line. There will be scavengers picking at the remains. Capitalism is dead. At least in the form we knew it, but sounds pretty dead to me.

Yes, I would definiatly have to Agree...especially with all the New "Laws" being pass in this county which will bring us crashing down even Faster!

But why does it seem like the only people "awake" are on this type of Website?....and not the everyday ordinary people?
