I think Holydiver has given you a clear picture of christian religion and God.
Economy and politics there are always cyclical. In recent times, there were private hands in politics for that it has turned the country overboard to the other side.

I think in America we must wonder why had we fought for our freedoms and if that means something.

The other moral issues you questioned, in Sikh world, there are only two kinds of people: A self-willed and a God-willed. The self-willed (we call the "Manmukh") will have countless reincarnations and will not be liberated from pains of this world but the God-willed person (we call "Gurmukh") will be liberated from this world and the next through the Guru Granth Sahib.

Sorry that you feel that way. Since you don't understand, I don't blame you. Waheguru's word is Sri Guru Granth Sahib. And I am not with the rest of the world who don't need it.

There are many self proclaimed prophets that say all kinds of disasters are coming to America for turning away from God, not allowing prayers in schools (not exactly true of course), voting for Bill Clinton in office etc.... All I would want to ask, is what did America do to deserve the droughts and Great Depression of the 1930's?

Problems do not happen because God is angry but because of work of men.
