Right, well.
I don't dream about the world ending or anything dramatic. I'll just fall asleep, and then I'll dream about something and then it'll happen. But, I never remember my dreams, so I can only recall them just after I've woken up or when the event happens. For instance, I was on holiday with my family, and my Dad and I were walking together, holding hands, and I just go, "I had a dream about this." And I had, I even dreampt I said that! My Dad just looked at my like, O.o But I'm not religious, and I don't believe in magic or anything. I'm only 13! I have no idea what's happening to me, am I just imagining it? Cause I really don't think I am. But the only other option is I'm just some freak. Which is really not what I need in high school. (I'm English, we start high school at 11.) Is there any scientific explanation? Or one that's believable to someone like me? Or ANY explanation, at all??? Thanks for reading, hope you'll reply, CP, x PS - I don't mean to offend anyone, if anyone is offended ... I was just trying to express my thoughts, and see if anyone could explain ... it. |

Please don't let anyone make you feel like you are crazy for having these dreams. I have had dreams about future events from the as early as I can remember. My family and friends wrote it off as deja vu. Only recently have I begun to explore why, how, and what to do about these dreams. I don't have any explanations, philosophies, or religious teachings to offer I just wanted you to know that you are not alone in having this type of dream.

I too have the ability to dream the future. It all started when I was about ten. I had the longest dream that I can remember. It involved me going to a familiar summer camp, a red head that I had thought I had seen on tv, and some serious metaphorical stuff (two dragons, one green and one blue fighting near the lake). I wrote it off as just a crazy dream. But that summer I went to my normal summer camp, saw that red head, and witness a green and blue paddle boat tug of war. It struck me as odd, so I started to follow my dreams.
Off and on, my dreams would develop into future events that really only register as deja vu moments. However, most of my drastic life events, such as moving to new ares I have seen in my dreams before I ever got there. Unfortunately, all of these situations have been infrequent, unpredictable and only novel use. What I am really looking for is some way to hone these skills or any one that can help me develop them. Or any information if that is possible. |

dear dreamer
there are two reason in which a person can see this scientifically and religously (Christianity) Scientifically, you said do not recall your dreams until the event has taken place i have these a lot, were i am caught in the midst of a similar moment that has already taken place in the past that is like the current moment in which i can get mistakenly take as a vision of the future but in reality you mistaken two events, for the brain is not a recorder, it does not record everything that happens and stores it into a place, the brain disposes of events far away or make them obsolete. Religiously, Maybe God is trying to tell you something, many people in the bible had visions, you must learn to interpret them and see what God is trying to tell you. Pray, Pray, and Pray and God' s Will will be seen i have dreams of the weirdest things, especially the future, and i am still trying to find an answer |

i have had many dreams when i was your age that i would not remember until the event happened. as i got older i started remembering them more and more. now the only dreams i do remember are the ones that are going to happen. if you start writing them down and dating them you will start seeing a pattern. you will know jsut when they are going to happen. start telling people when you can remember them. i wish i had made more people listen to what i was saying. i have had hundreds of dreams that happened 2 weeks after i dreamed them. i amnow in my 50s and about 25 years ago an angel started speaking to me giving me messages to pass on to the world. the world is cold though. many fight in the name of God but do not believe in God. if they did they would listen to what He is saying. dont be afraid of your dreams either. it is a gift. embrace it. share it. at first it is hard to see some of the things you will see knowing they are going to happen. we can not change anything we can only witness what is coming. if you write them down every morning remembering will become easier. sweet dreams and blessings, kate

And you're 13. Great...You've got time to collect a lifetime of dreams.
Get some spiral notebooks and a big notebook to put them in and begin. Write down each dream, give it title, date, and break down each scene as a separate paragraph. Develop a code for *happened, and date and page where you can find the event, for when dreams come about in real life.. Put some order into your dream journals. Dreams are an amalgam of body states, experiences, memories, unresolved psychological stuff AND, a dip into the time stream. They are all real, real this and real that, as in real feelings..... Find or better yet, buy a copy of JW Dunne's An Experiment with Time. It's about $14 dollars and published by Hampton Roads I think. Bought a copy about 6 years ago myself. He was an aeronautical designer who dreamed precognitively, developed a method to be used by friends who found they did too, and he consequently developed a theory of time. You be the judge. I have my thoughts, and you will too. Try very hard NOT to interpret until you have at least a decade of dreams under your belt. You will find some things scare you in a dream and when they happen, they are ordinary, maybe you were holding your breath in your dream, or had low blood sugar, or needed to get up and pee. Somethings will seem like an ordinary scene but will be right before something profound happens for better or worse. Just write them down. You can develop code words or phrases if you want to keep some stuff really private. Last edited by pikka : 04-03-2009 at 01:18 PM. Reason: forgot something |

I have never had a dream like that until recently. It was a rather long plot line, summarized in a short time span. The dream had realistic conversations, feelings and key metaphors. I am not going to preach any religion, but save your spirit and think/do positive. I was a stupid pot addict with little contribution to society. I took life for granted. Everything in my dream has happened accurately so far. Life is not without meaning and we are more then smart animals. In my dream, I have already seen the dream, which interfered with the dream itself. There is no deja-vu explanation for karma teaching me a lesson.
