There is a slight contradiction in what you say. For example, if you cannot recall or remember dreams how then can you know anymore about them?

Jennings...
What I believe James is saying (though I may be wrong) is that as soon as something specific happens in his day, he flashes back to a dream that he did not remember until then, and at that point, he starts to remember his dream because the situation he is in or what he is seeing triggers the details of the dream because it is exactly how it was in his dream. Is that what you are saying James? If so....I have this experience often as well. Not sure what it is, but when it happens, it is like a flood of details comes at you all at once. Hope you find out why this happens. I certainly would also like to know. Sorry for the run on sentence in the beginning |

I understood what James was implying but to fill-in the vacant spaces can be fraught with difficulties. I was attempting to get him to be a bit more specific not withstanding his youthfulness. If he could have provided an example it would have been helpful. I too have had similar experiences but the dream is not forgotten; it is simply not recalled until the event occurs then it floods into memory. James did say that he forgot his dreams so a paradox.
I recall having a dream in monocolour of the winner in horse racing and I dismissed it thinking that it was only my imagination but, silly me, the horse won. Its name was St Paddy and at the time I had thought, what a stupid name to call a horse but who was stupid; me or the horse? |

Hello!
I'm Alice, and I'm 14. I would love to help, James, but I suppose I'm simply joining you in asking for it. I have been having prophetic dreams for about three years and the thing that bugs me is that if I have a prophetic dream, when I wake up, I usually remember it. But! Every time I tell someone about a dream...it doesn't come true, or a small part I missed out does. Murphy's Law I guess. Should I start a dream diary? I don't know. If I do, it seems like I'm trying to prove to someone that my dreams are prophetic. I don't mind if nobody believes me. It's like a private joke between me and myself when I get that overwhelming deja vu. Maybe there's a reason that people aren't supposed to believe us when we provide the "convenient" story that we flash back to the dream as/slightly before the event happens. Should I try to prove it? |

Alice (in Wonderland)? A nice name and an interesting point. People are very conservative and even if you were to prove that your dreams are prophetic they would still try to find justification that this could not happen and you would probably end by getting an unfortunate reputation. Keeping a dream journal can be a worthy exercise and to note those dreams when the event transpires. It is a valuable discipline not to confess too much to others, even your friends, as it is like killing the magic. Through keeping a journal you could measure the degree of your own accuracy and if it transpires that you have a reasonable degree of success then you may feel a little more confidant to share your gift but with only your closest of friends.
