My Death Date

Hi everyone,

It's been a long time since I had this dream. It was way back June 2002 and up until now (specially this year) I'm confused and troubled. Here's how it goes:

In my dream I actually saw myself lying in a casket, dead. My mother, siblings, girlfriend (who is now my wife), and other friends were also there. There I can see them but they can't see me. That's the first part o the dream...

At the second part of the dream I saw myself sitting on a soft grass. I can feel the grass but I can't see it because the place was in complete darkness. After a minute or so a small light appear above on my left. The light grew gradually and then a man appeared in the middle of the light. The man then called me by name and said, "Look!" He was pointing below on my right. When I look to where he was pointing I saw a white headstone about three or four meters away from me. I crawled to it and there I saw that the headstone was mine.

My name was carefully engrave on the headstone. My date of birth was there. And my death date... (remember I had this dream way back 2002) engraved on the headstone was "December 12, 2008."

I don't know what the dream is trying to tell me. It could be a warming. I don't know.. All I know is it gives me major goosebumps whenever I remember that dream.. And now that fear and confusion is becoming very frequent because as we all know it's already year 2008.

Can anyone tell me the meaning of my dream???

Seeing a tombstone in a dreams usually doesn't mean physical death, but a death to some aspect of self. The dream might mean that you will be going through a transition. Because a lot of time has passed between the dream and now, look back at the time in between, because it's possible the transition has already taken place or is in the process of taking place.

The fact that the stone is white may indicates that this is most likely related to the spiritual aspect of yourself. White represents purity, innocence and awareness of spiritual things (but, I just read that in Eastern cultures, white is associated with death and mourning, so the meaning depends on what white means to you).

But, who knows, sometimes dreams do mean death--still, I've never heard of any predictions with specific dates coming true, so I have to think the date symbolizes something other than the the actual day in December. Dream or no dream, it's wise to be prepared to meet the Maker. Just a suggestion, put your fear to good use and consider praying about this.

Just a note, I don't know if it's related, but the date on the tombstone caught my eye because December 12th is the feast day of Our Lady of Guadalupe, patroness of the Americas, Mother of God, friend of the oppressed.

vintarah, have you considered that maybe your psychic ability is stronger than you think? The date may indicate that something specific may happen on that day, not necessarily death. I ask because I recently read a book for psychic beginners. The author said that he is able to see dates in his mind. The only difference is that he sees them with his eyes open.

Have you read anything in that book about what the dates mean? Because I know that there are 2 types of dreams: One that is take Literal (Very rare) & the other is the meanings behind the Symbols. In my life I've had both....but until recently not about dates.
I had a date dream I received about a close relatives passing in August 8th....another weird thing is this past month every time I wake up & look at the Clock is say- 9:11....and this has happened like 5 times already.

December 12th is unlikely to be your demise but more probably your rebirth. It sounds as if you may have a problem and not necessarily about your health but whatever your concern is, the date given may coincide with a change occurring to your life. Remember, dreams speak in figurative terms so must not be taken literally. Send another post on the 13th!

this has been happening to me for months!!!!! mostly night time, it may just be an unconcious habit to look at the clock around that time, but every time i look at it, it's 11 past 9.
what i've realised is depending on my mood it may change suddenly or linger. i also remember glancing at the digital clock shortly before bed and it said 9:11 i looked away, amazed that it said that AGAIN...looked back and it was 9:13. last time i checked a mintue lasted 60 seconds. it almsot seems a little too convenient because of the september 11 attack. so i naturally associated the time with something bad...

Your underlying concern is not about your death but more probably connected to your demise as an individual connected to some important feature or function to your life, something akin to the loss of status connected to something that you do possibly in the public arena. It is probably an irrational fear created through social pressure.

Hmmm....yea Courage, its when I wake up in the morning usually the 1st time I get up & then look to see what time it is and its- 9:11. This repeatedly happened...Usually in my alarm clock a.m, I even saw this once on the highway where they have traffic signs telling drivers "9-11 mins until loop 410..ect." Strange bc nothing like this has ever caught my attention...why now?

I also took it as some type of warning or a sign of something bad about to happen. Not sure if its personal or public like in Ny on Sept 11th....one thing is I live in Texas so Im not sure how it relates publicly?
