update:Bright white staircase and room, can't get to sunshine window

I kept thinking, "WHat a nice room that would be if you could get in there and use it. The space is being wasted." It had a pleasant feeling.
My sister in law and older nephew told me it was a skylight."

Today, I saw the inside of my brother's house for the first time. When they gave us a tour, they showed us how my older nephew's closet had an octagon shaped window in it. The framing was quite boxy. Also, the closet was painted bright white. With the sun shining in, it was quite bright and cheery! We thought it was strange that a closet would have such a window, when my husband observed that the closet may have been added after the original construction of the house, thus, covering the decorative window that would have overlooked the landing on the stairs. After looking around, we saw that he was correct.
How strange, that in my dream, the landing on the stairs was bright, and the window in my dream was boxed into a tiny room! WHen I saw the beautiful window and the white paint and the sunshine, I was stunned! In my dream, I tried to enter the "room" via the stairway, and was unsuccessful. In real life, the room had to be accessed a different way.

For some reason, this has been on my mind all day.

Just in case: The following is the rest of the dream:
In real life, my brother moved closer to home from another state recently. I haven't been able to go see his new house, yet. They had a rough move. Both my nephews started at new schools. They both have disabilities, and the older one is having a hard time adjusting. I thought I'd wait until they settle in before visiting.

LAst night, I dreamed that I was driving, looking for a school, when I make a wrong turn and end up near my brother's new house. I decide to visit him.
When I arrive, my sister in law shows me the kitchen, and one of my nephews show me his room (the younger one). Their new house in real life is rather big, but the bedroom in the dream seems small. It was a tight squeeze getting through his door.

Strangely, today, while I wasn't home, my brother called to invite us to dinner. Unfortunately, I didn't get the message until too late.
I know part of this dream just means that I must see them.
The bright light, the white stairway, and the little enclosed room stump me. I know that must mean something.
