Default Startling dream

Last night I had a dream where I watched myself die. In the beginning I was in the middle of where the water split to make two waterfalls. Other people were sliding down the one waterfall and I decided I was going to get over there and slide too. I jumped towards the waterfall and the next thing I knew is I was in a complete head first dive position towards the water about 30 -50 feet below. I had the queasy stomach while I was diving. Just as I am supposed to hit the water the scene changes and I hit my head on something...I believe it was glass and fell to the ground and my head landed on a rock. At this point it was like I was floating above watching myself and I died.

I've had this dream one other time within the past week but it switched to another dream before the ending.

I've had several recurring dreams of falling off/diving off waterfalls in the past but the waterfall was different in this dream. It was split at the end. In previous dreams the waterfall was solid all the way across. I always landed in the water and came up safely.

Can anyone attempt to help me understand why this dream is different.

Hi,
Diving into a water means starting a new business or job, but fall may mean as follows:
If one dreamt fell face down means will have anxiety specially in a fight and enmity.
If dreamt fell from a height like a mount or a roof or a wall means he won't achieve his wish.
If dreamt fell down from a mount also means his situation will be bad and will be disappointed.
If dreamt fell down and was injured means will have a loss as much as bleeding.
If dreamt stumbled and fell means will have some pain.
If dreamt there was falling snakes and scorpions from his threshold means a sorrow from the government.
If dreamt ceiling or house walls collapsed over him means he will have an unexpected big benefit and an opening.

Maybe I'm out of the ordinary, you stated when you die you wake up. I did not wake up, at least not to a point I remember being consciously awake. My dreams simply changed...I don't remember the dreams that followed.

I started a new photography business in 2007 and have had a recent disappointment related to the business. I was supposed to photograph a wedding for my friends daughter in 2009 and they didn't have the money to bring me out and had to go with a photographer that was local to them. I was really looking forward to seeing them again as it had been a couple of years since we'd got to visit in person.

Other than this one instance everything has been going well with the business. Is it possible that event could trigger a dream like this? I'm new to dream interpretaton. I've had dreams that would come true within days of the dream and have had recurring dreams until an event actually happened.

Default Reoccurring dreams

Hi Ryan,
Reoccurring dreams are caused by similar problems that happen in your sleep. My guess is that your falling dreams are caused by your sleeping position. I think your head is too low and it causes you some dizziness in your sleep.
There are some indicators in your dream that point to your head being too low.
Quote:
I was in a complete head first dive position towards the water about 30 -50 feet below.
Here your dream is trying to tell you that your head was pointing downwards - your pillow was too low. I had the queasy stomach while I was diving. This may also be caused by a low head position.
Quote:
I did not wake up, at least not to a point I remember being consciously awake. My dreams simply changed...I don't remember the dreams that followed.
This passage indicates that the dream moves you out of the bad sleeping position and sleep continues. You actually move your body, may even turn over when you dream yuo're diving! and take up a new sleeping position.
Cheers Wolfjk

It does appear that there is a connection between your business and your dreaming. When the waterfall is solid your business is probably doing well; when it is fluid and you see yourself falling you are probably worried over the fluidity or viability of the business. The waterfall nicely represents the flow of business and possibly your awareness of its likelihood to fall or collapse and this aspect is constantly in your mind and hence the dream.
