Dreaming of the future?!

Hey, for a long while I've had these experiences(not super frequent like everyday) that I dream something and it comes back to me whether a day(in the most shortest instance) or weeks and months ahead which is the usual pattern, and I remember the dream either after the event of dreamed of happens or when it hits in mid-action that I dreamed of this!

Sometimes the "fortellings" are mixed in w/ dreams of the 'crazy' type so I have not been able to determine whats a 'prophecy' if you will. I write down some when i remember to, so far only one of those has happened.
I havnt been able to harness or puroposely or consciously dream of the future, its quite automatic it seems lol.

I would appreciate feedback on this,
First that I have studied some pyschological aspects of the deja vu syndrome and I have concluded that it not the case(as I directly remember the dreams, not just a strong feeling or familiarity) so why do you think they happen?
I am speculating that its a genetics thing spawned from the generation of my parnents(my brother reports this same thing as well-I have never spoken of it to anyone so I know its for real!) and I cant really do any research or queries 'cause I'm afraid someone will have a 'lets call the men in white suits' attitude or just think im plain crazy/delusional


See also I havnt been able to alter what I see, which bears interesting points that I ponder on free will, god, and the possible reality of prophecy through humans. is it a divine or merely genetic trait? Is it a form of vision?

What could be a possible explanation? Have you had similar, have you tried to harness them, how so?

Its a big puzzle for me!

You aren't the only one that had their dreams happen in real life. I'm glad I found this web site, so I can talk about my dreams. And know I am not alone.
