Prophetic dreams or telling the future?

I don't know if this would fall in Prophetic dreams, but a few days before September 11th I had the utter feeling of dread. I chalked it up to the fact I was having a bad time at work and my birthday was coming up (September 11th). Well you all know what happened then.

Just recently my sister-in-law (wife's sister) got pregnant for the first time. Her and her husband are excited and called us. My wife said "due in May?" and for a moment I saw 15 or 16. Then the color pink. I said "It's going to be around May 15th or 16th... and it's going to be a girl". Well we found out the doctor said that she is due the 18th but they can't determine the sex yet. Her mother did say that when she gave birth to her and her sister, they were 4-5 days earlier than what was predicted by the doctor.

I'm getting weirded out by this b/c this is not the only time I have seen images in my mind or dreamt of something and it came true. Anyone know how to "hone" this gift?
