If you search the forums here for "sleep paralysis" you might get loads of dreams same as yours! The dream is frightening you awake by pretending you can't move. The lurking presence gives the dream an extra frightening quality. It makes sure you wake up quickly! Cheers Wolfjk

I have just woken up to exactly the same thing, however I could see there was nothing there, only feel it. Something was holding me down, and I knew if I could only move or scream it would go. As soon as I screamed it left. It also has me terrified. I find it hard to believe that was a dream I was wide awake.

Be assured it is only a dream! Adream that wakes you up by frightening you! It is a fairly common dream although many people swear it is real. http://www.sleeps.com/forums/dream-i...ation/8706.htm If you look on this thread you will see many other dreams similar to yours!

hi hun,
Im not sure how u will react to this if u'll be offended think tis rubbish or whatever but i will sahre an experinece with you which could help. My mum used to experince this all the time and it became disturbing for everyone. After looking in to it we found no answers she kept going on about a prescence then strange things were happing all the time day in day out around the house. So we called in a medium and it was a trapped spirit kind of like a portaguses but not necessiarily out to harm/distress you. When the medium came in she done lots of things with a candle a sayonce etc etc it was all a bit scary as i was only young too but since that day we never had any problems at all.... Not sure how much help or non help that is to you xxx |

yeah thanks Loubees,
I popped on here at 2 am last night, afraid to sleep again and to refresh my mind that it was just a dream ..... and there was your post. I have to say on the insomnia relieving scale your post is right down there in the sub zero's. Of course a medium is going to say theres something there...... and for $$ they can help you with your problem. |

hey guys its me again and yes i am now 102% sure that what i am suffering wuth is sleep paralysis, its a medical condition and the reason we are awake when we experience this is because we wake up in our REm sleep state so our mind is awake but our bodies still need time to come out from the dream state, our minds work quicker than our bodies!if anybody wants to know the exact scientific reason for this and ways in which i can try to help after experiencing it myself and researching it thoroughly u can email me on sharlzgroovey@yahoo.com
