a train?
i had this dream that i was playing my trombone on this stage in the center of the spot light. when i was finished playing i started putting my trombone back in its case; while at the same time it was getting darker around me. so i looked around and there were freight trains on both sides of me. i turned around and one was inclosing on me. it freaked me out. i woke up screaming "Help!! Help me mom!!"

Were you alone on stage, or did it just feel that way? Was there an audience, or an empty theatre? In an actor like myself, this can be stagefright, which I still get on a first night. I feel like I'm the only one in the world when the spotlight falls on me. It can feel like that in life too. When you are 'put on the spot' in a situation and feel terrified. You freeze or panic, and want to run and hide. The trombone Could be alerting you to some kind of danger - a warning. It maybe stirring us to take some kind of action. Maybe there is some kind of conflict that we need to face. The darkness Your despair. You felt there was no hope. It seems someone or something was frightening you or threatening you. They were closing in on you like the darkness. The trains You felt trapped with little room to move, or no visible 'escape route'. But you had one. You woke up. The trombone was trying to tell you to do so. It was your 'wake up call'. The spotlight then was like 'a light at the end of the tunnel' - safety. It is only natural, that after such a nightmare, you ''freaked'' and called for assistance from your Mum.
