The devil wanted to take over my body and gave up?

I really dont know what to think of this anymore. Ive tried to make sense of it...
I went to bed and closed my eyes...I was still in the first stage of sleep, where im still kinda concious. My head started pounding and it was really hurting, so i tryed waking up so i could go take a Tylenol. But i couldn't...i just couldn't wake up! I tried opening my eyes...and the more i tried...the more my headache grew. I tried moving my arms....but it felt like something was holding me down...it felt like i was trying so hard to move that my body was vibrating. I was home alone, so i wanted to reach for the phone to call someone ( i dunno why, i dunno how they could have helped me over the phone!) The more i tried moving, the more i vibrated and the more my body hurt...and my head felt like it was gonna blow up.
My pets sleep with me, so I figured I could call my dog and he could come wake me...I tried calling him...but i dont think anything was coming out. So i tried turning in his direction....STILL could not move. STILL painful. finally...i dont know how....but its like my eyes un-glued....opened...and i still felt very stiff....and my headache was still there. I had not moved one little inch from the way i was laying before i fell asleep...But i could move, i could talk...i looked over at my dog...and i dont think any sound came out of me because he hadn't moved.
I dont know what happened...was i just,in fact, dreaming? or was this really happeneing? Was something trying to possess me? Was something physically wrong with me? Was I having a seizure? (I've never had a seizure before)

Now...I do take anti-depressants and i had gone 4 days without them(could not get to the pharmacy to get a new prescription)...could that have messed up my brain so much that the "withdrawal" of the chemicals caused this strange event?

Any input would be great! I just dont know what to think of it. and its very difficult to explain how REAL and PAINFUL it was...the next day, my neck and arms were still very sore.
please help me out....

You are right because antidepressent drugs only remain for 2-3 days in the blood and they can't be cut sudden, so most probably this was caused by the need to the drugs.

Also, you must have been breathing very heavy because the sign of your body vibrating is to much oxygen, so you might have been hyperventalating. Then you went into dream mode very quik because your body will release a chemical so you cant move while dreaming so you cant hurt yourself.

First thing I´d advice you to consult you doctor and talk to him/her about your strange event, and then possibly get a new prescription as i do firmly believe that this has got everything to do with the lack of these chemicals inside your body. Good luck with everything I´m sure your doctor can help you more than I can

This sounds to me like sleep parayisis aka the old hag.
The scientific explination for this is that you are in a sort of half asleep half awake state and dreaming.
The paranormal theory is that you are being attacked by demons.
I belive the half and half theory that being in a half asleep half awake state leaves you more susebtable to Demonic attack, I belive this mainly because science has not explained why most people see the same thing(useally an old hag like woman, or the devil).
I had my own experiance of this a few weeks back when I fell asleep on my friends sofa and I turned over, all of a sudden I saw a man where the back of the sofa should be (I never saw his head but his clothing was very "Vampire Arisstocrat" in style), I instantly knew to be frightend of him and tried to scream to my friend and her boyfriend, I could open my mouth but I couldn't make a sound, so then I tried to move and couldn't, eventually I managed to roll over and fell off the sofa and "woke up".
My friend and her boyfriend were most intriintreged as to who this mysterious man could be.

Funny thing, I actually got goosebumps when I read this, because I have almost the same dream/whatever it was more than once. There is no pain in mine...but I am trying to scream and can't and my husband is right next to me..I know this when it's happening but I can't move and I feel dread all around...then eventually I wake/come out of it and feel completely freaked out and scared. Or I will wake up and SWEAR I see someone over the bed or in the bathroom. I have really scared my husband screaming for him to go look. Maybe I should have our house blessed??

I was also thinking that sometimes people can have seizures while they sleep and not even be aware of it. I never have gone myself, but I have seen sleep deprived EEGs performed where they have the patient sleep on the table and measure the brain activity as they sleep. I know sometimes night seizures may even be the cause of depression.

Yeah, I'd recommend a prayer chapel in your room. There is nothing like having a positive energy center in your room or house where you can go to and pray to God. I dont have one where I live but I wish I did.
Do what you will to adorn your chapel. Maybe have two or three white candels- each one could symbolize something for you, for example, one for God's grace, the second for you and the third for your dog or dogs.
Then maybe you can have a pic of jesus or a cross, something sacred because this will remind you of your faith.
But please i dont want to scare you, well i'll tell you, I went cold turkey on my medicine and sometimes I find that I have no peace of mind. However, I find that I cry and get sad even with or without my med. But when I pray to God and have stillness in my mind, I swear it is just like taking a pill. Go to church or to a prayer chapel and you will know what i am talking about.
We never know how much we need God until we are faced with hardship.

This reminds of a "Hag Attack", it's sort of like when Psy Vampires feed off of your life energy cause they "need it". There are little things you can do to prevent this. You may even want to read this book, "Vampires: the Occult Truth", by Konstantinos. It's very interesting, and it really makes you think if you've ever gone through one of these.

You may want to be careful. If you start having these more than a few times a month, something really may be after you.

I had a very similar dream about 10 years ago.... I was in a state of asleep but awake. I could recognize my surroundings in my room, but could really only focus on one wall. I could not move my body. It was a flying dream, I was flying through a cave over water very fast. Someone was with me, I could not recognize the face but it felt like someone very close to me, who I'd known for a while. Once i came to a opening in the cave, I was battling a very strong red, evil presence. We were circling around and around over water. I was terrified. And still awake but asleep. He was pulling me into him, pulling all parts of my body but I could not move in my bed. I remember screaming and trying to get away but again, could not move or scream. Then all of the sudden a hand came to me. A strong hand and behind it was very white. I could only see the hand but it was definately comforting and pulling me towards it. I just remember taking the hand and a very white light and I felt very secure, like I was okay now...... that's all I remember....
The feelings of evil and peace were so overwelming..... I think I may have been saved that night??!!
Anyone experience the same?
