Can you please help me with this?

The other night, I dreamt that my best friend and I were walking up a flight of stairs in a hospital. We were looking for someone, or trying to ask a question. However, we were ignored. We went to the first level, where we ran into a skinny African-American nurse. (I think the fact that she was African-American is significant because I come from a predominately white area.) On the second level, we were ignored by a heavy-set African-American nurse. On the third level, the same skinny nurse ignored us, and so on up the stairs until the 15th level. At that point, my best friend exclaimed, "What the hell do I have to do to get some attention around here!?" Then, she looked down the gap between the flight of stairs, stood up on the railing, and committed suicide by falling all the way to the first floor. I knew she was dead, yet I still heard her voice saying, "Just jump. It won't hurt." I was hesistant, but as soon as she said that, I too committed suicide. As I laid on the ground, my vision went hazy, but I could still hear her voice. She told me that I would just get a shot, and she was right. The same two nurses came and gave me a shot in the foot.

After that, I knew we were both ghosts. We preceded to walk up to the second level, open a door, and say 'Boo!'. Inside the room, was a heavy-set man and another man. The heavy-set man (whom I recognized from my older brother's cross country team from 5 years ago) said, "Haha, you can't scare me. I'm dead too." Then, my friend went on to tell him how we were trying to float, but we just couldn't. As if we should already know this, he said, "Well of course. You only died once." So, my best friend and I were suddenly on the 15th level again, where she preceded to commit suicide for the second time. I, however, wouldn't jump.

My friend could now walk through walls and float. Even though I was a ghost and no living people could see me, I still had to open doors, etc. Later, my friend and I went to an old country-style shop below the hospital. Working there was an old lady in a traditional dress behind the counter. For some reason, we knew she was a widow. At that point, my friend began to move things around the store, and we both had a good laugh. However, once we realized that the lady was getting very scared, my friend knocked over a container of beads and spelled out 'I'm sorry'. The lady thought it was her dead husband.

In another part of my dream, I separated from my friend and met up with another ghost I apparently recognized. He asked me what had ever happened to his lake house. I told him that my boyfriend and I had added a bathroom onto it and had made some changes. Then we preceded to go to the lakehouse, and left when some humans entered.

All in all, it was a very creepy dream. The kind that gives you chills up your spine. Most of the dream was in the color gray. Also, right as I was waking up, I felt as if my cat or something was laying next to me. Of course, nothing was there.

This is an attempt to unravel your dream which may be wide of the mark.

My guess is that you believe in the spiritual existence to life which you are unable to fully comprehend. You possibly may suffer from bouts of depression or acute stress that brings about thoughts of suicide and you seem to be unable to either get help to relieve those symptoms or that no one seems to understand your problem and this exacerbates it.

You are hesitant to commit suicide as you suspect there may exist other spheres or plains on the spiritual level which may not fully relieve you of your burden. You may experience unexplainable psychic happenings which possibly worries you; not realising that many others have similar experiences but choose not to discuss them openly for fear of ridicule. Those experience of yours are not unusual nor abnormal and neither is that of hearing voices although they can be distracting.
