Not sure if it was real or not

Just want to let you know i always lock the door when i go in my room and this happened when i was awake, or it seemed like i was and thats what confuses me. i was on my bed drawing and my room went dark, but i could still see everything. something comes in and when i stare at it i get this euphoric feeling. like i'm on drugs or something. can't really tell what it looks like, but it has black eyes. it's tall and the whole time i'm staring at it it's saying something. i dont understand the language and i've never heard anyone speak like that in my life. i start to feel heavy then go to sleep. i woke up and my light was still on and the door was open. ever since this happened i've been sleeping on the couch. i really cant tell if i was dreaming or not and i feel like i'm going insane.

You can be absolutely certain it was a dream! Sometimes it is difficult distinguish between dreaming and reality! However there is a clue in your post:

it has black eyes. it's tall and the whole time i'm staring at it it's saying something.

The above quote indicates that you went to sleep with your head propped up, half sitting half lying and when the position became uncomfortable your dream woke you up. Sure it was frightening, but it was your own subconscious made it frightening so you wak up.
Dont let a little thing put you off from sleeping in your own bed! Just make sure you ger comfortable, on your side with lights off.

Yes, or it could be the demonic. Particularly the euphoric feeling. It sounds as though you had a dark visitor. Take the neccessary precautions.
