So last night my sister and I had very similar experiences. I sleep in the basement and she sleeps on the top floor of the house. I had a very vivid dream where I felt like I was awake where my body was completely paralyzed and tingly throughout. I was trying to scream for my boyfriend beside me and could not. The reason I think this was a dream is because I didn't remember this happening until the morning.
My sister upstairs felt paralyzed but something was moving her limbs for her. She also was in bed with her boyfriend and had a voice tell her to say cruel things to her boyfriend to hurt him. Now she was asleep as her boyfriend woke up to her moving violently around and moaning. She told me this this morning and now we are both terrified that we experienced the same thing. Now the night before this I woke up completely at 5 am and could not get to sleep until 630 am as i had a very strange feeling around me. I am trying to be rational and hearing that sleep paralysis is an actual condition caused my stress. The night we experienced this, that day was my grandfathers funeral. So maybe the stress of all this caused us to have similar experiences? Please help. I don't want to think that a demon was sitting on my chest last night! |

Sleep paralysis can take many forms and have many causes; stress, overwork, some sleeping positions, even someone embracing you can cause it. However demons are the figment of the imagination! You should not worry about them! You can have a look at this thread or another thread further down this section. here Cheers Wolfjk
