This nightmare has a lot of similarities to most of my nightmares, but I can't stop thinking about it and can't figure out what it means.
I was at a house when the man became very mad. Throwing things and chasing people. I started yelling at him and getting the kids out of the house. This man was the spitting image of my next door neighbor but I knew that it wasn't him. Than all at once everyone was out of the house except for me and this man. He was holding me down raping and beating me. The front door was open, but the screen was shut. My mother and my boyfriend were outside the door. It was like the man was challenging them to rescue me. I was screaming for them, and they were trying to get in, but couldn't. Somehow I knew the police couldn't break this "barrier" to be able to help me either. I knew the guy was beating me but all I could feel was him sitting on top of my and I could see him swinging but never felt the connect. I commonly dream that a person looks like someone I know but isn't them. Most of the time I know who they are supposed to be. (A man could look like my brother but I know he is my dad sort of thing). I also dream that I am getting beat by someone but never remember them actually hitting me, just the swinging and blood. |

I read found this on the internet and thought it might help:
Dreaming about being raped is a nightmare that inflicts fear and anxiety upon recall. Since rape is a brutal and deeply personal violation, it suggests that the dreamer may be feeling robbed of options and negated as a human being. In a dream, as in real life, rape have very little to do with sex. It is about power, control, anger, and other very destructive emotions. In order to understand this dream, you may need to think about the areas of your life that causes you great anxiety and fear. If you are superstitious, take this dream as a warning. Take precautions, protect yourself emotionally and physically and don't engage in careless behaviors. If you were a rape victim, the traumatic nature of this experience may cause you to have a dream like this from time to time. What a horrifying dream, I hope they stop. |

Just to add to what the person above me said...
The fact that no one was able to get in to help you could mean that subconciously you feel as though you are the only one you can rely on in a bad situation. Also the dream seems to have a symbolism of being trapped. Perhaps there is some aspect of your life you feel trapped and unable to escapre from due to that fact that you wont allow yourself to ask for help, or you feel asking for help may be sign of weakness, and you do not want others to see you in that manner. I hope this helps in some way. I do hope you can get sleep without these awful dreams. Good luck. |

The War within. you have bean shown the fact that evil sits on peoples shoulders. its unbelievable almost. he tries to give you sight. he calls to you.
