watched my dad die the strangest death and i couldnt stop it...help!

this is one of the dreams i had last night..

i was with one of my dads friends who was trying to convince me to join the army, after showing me pamphlets and stuff he got a call off my dad who wanted me back, so i got in my friends car
next thing i know me and my dad were walking through the streets in an area where my grandma lives towards a multistory car park where his car was parked. As we were walking i looked in his hands and he was holding what seemed to be a movie case with the words 'the streets have eyes' which beared alot of similarities to the movie case for the real movie 'the hills have eyes 2'.
Anyway back to my dream, next thing i know is that we are walking up the multi-storey car park and im trying to talk to my dad but he is being really short with me and hard to talk to, we get in a little argument and than i stop talking to him. we walk up to the top level and approach his car except all over his car are fingerprints and strange markings which look likee were drawn with a fingernail. they looked like waves and some were circles amongst waves.
my dad than looked at me and said 'you really need to go' i started asking why and he wouldnt answer back. at this time the sky which was already gray to begin with started getting darker and darker. my dad turned his back to me and said 'you dont want too see this', he put his hands on his face but when he removed them he had a different face but it was decayed and zombie-like, he looked at me and laughed and started approaching me saying he is going to hurt me but than it screamed and turned back into my dad who was crying. than he put his hands on his face and turned into a woman who was also decaying. but this time it just looked at me than turned into my dad. i asked him if he was okay and he looked up and laughed and his eyes turned yellow. he tried approaching me but he screamed in pain and than his eyes went from yellow to completely black and he said 'im sorry, im going to die, all you can do is watch'. i than had this incredibly uncomfortable prescence around me and i fell on the floor, my whole body was frozen and i had goose bumps running all over me, the hood of my jumper puut itself on top of my head and turned blackk, than it froze itself in the shape of a large black hood. the prescence or feeling of something present got even stronger and i saw a metal glint next to me, than i blue light appeared on the side of my dads stomach and thick black smoke started spilling out into the sky and he was screaming in pain telling me to go. i stood up and started walking backwards but i couldnt stop looking at him, i was about to say something and he told me not to talk, open my mouth or take the hood off my head or else the 'demon smoke' will get into me. the smoke all came out and fllew off somewhere and i looked at him, it was my dads appearence but now he was the one who was completely decayed, like missing eyes, mouth, nose and yellowy green rotten skin. he told me not to say anything and to leave and to call for a lift home. as i walked off i told him i loved him and i looked back and saw him collapse on the floor
at first i called my dads friend but than decided that i didnt want him driving me home so i called my mum and told her what happened and to pick me up, she sounded like she could see it coming and she was a lot calmer than i'd expected her to be..

Hi,
This is a very strong nightmare. The dream is about how you felt in your sleep. Your subconscious used your dad because you have issues with him from time to time about your behaviour.
The purpose of this dream was to wake you up from a bad sleep. I can't tell why you needed this violent dream to wake you up. There could be several reasons. If you had an illness, especialy with high temperature, that would require adream like this. My guess is that the dream was caused by some medication or drug. It is also possible that food poisoning or a very bad case of indigestion or heartburn caused it.
This dream indicates that you had headache and felt dizzy in your sleep. You are the best judge of what caused your dream! How you felt? what you eaten or drunk? What medicine or drug you taken before sleep?
You can safely leave your dad out of the interpretation. Your subconscious used him only to frighten you awake.

sorry I disagree

It is true that we tend to wake up after a dream but that doesn’t prove that the purpose of a bad dream is to wake us from our sleep latterly. I believe dreams want to "wake us" up from our unconscious "sleeping" selves and thier is a big differance.


I would agree that your dream is about the feelings and thoughts you had during the dream. You may have been dreaming about your dad or more likely your association, thoughts and feelings about your dad, or "dad’s" in general. Your dad in this case is a symbol. Dreaming that your dad died could simply be an “awakening” to an awareness that an attitude that you have towards your dad or “dad in general" has died or should ‘die’. This is a healthy exploration
