Ever since I lost my brother in a horrific motorcycle accident, I've been having regular dreams about my son dying tragically. It's always different scenarios, but the end result is always the same. My 3 year old son, dead. Whether it's a car accident, or someone breaks into the house and kills him, it's always something. These happen almost every night. I'm tired of seeing my gorgeous son dead. Can anyone please help me?

I'm sorry about your brother's acciden, however you should be over shock of it by now. Your dreams are about what is happening in your sleep. Actually your subconscious creates these dreams to wake you up for some reason. Your question should by: color=blue]"why do I need to be woken with a violent dream like this?"[/color] If you take any sedatives/sleeping pills that could cause your dreams. Other health problems could also be a cause. On the psychological side, depression or stress could cause the dreams. The dream does not mean that anything would happen to your son. Your subconscious uses the scenario simply to wake you up. Cheers Wolfjk

Hi Niqui,
I understand this dream, as my younger brother died of a drug overdose in 1986, and I had teenage kids who kept experimenting with drugs and alcohol and were always in trouble, and boy, did I have the dreams fearing that they were going to follow after my brother! It was scary, and I couldn't get them to understand the need to do things differently, or even why I was scared. But that is what this dream is, FEAR, you've become painfully aware that bad things can happen, and it's kind of overwhelming you. I wish I knew how to tell you an easy answer to get over it, but really, in great part it takes time, and it takes knowing that we can't always control what happens, and accepting that. I also recommend my White Light Shielding that is in a thread in this section, just for working with your own feelings. It's especially good before bedtime to help the bad dreams stay away. Prayer for your son. Making sure he learns how to drive safely when he's older. There are no easy answers, but in time, it will lessen. Just hug him and love him a lot, okay? |
