scary dream about Satan

Would be interested to hear from anyone about their perspective/analysis of this.
My dream seemed to be about some experiences I was having while on a kind of "holiday", set mainly in a large institutional-looking place (but nice...very grand and stately looking, as opposed to hospital/mental asylum type of institution). I was with a large group of people, none of whom i knew, either in real life or in my dream. Many adults, but many adolescent/early 20s girls. The young girls wore school uniforms, which reminded me of the uniforms at the (all girls) school that I went to. I just want to say, also, that I have recurring dreams set in a boarding school/institutional environment, and that I often am at school, or surrounded by schoolgirl and teacher types of people in these dreams.
Firstly, the dream began with me on a coach, heading to this place, and the coach was pretty full of people. I was looking out of the window, and there was a creepy looking apartment building with graffiti writing sprayed outside it. What was written was a phrase, I now can't remember it, but in my dream I was creeped out! The writing said something slightly sinister, and symbolic seeming..."remember you must die" or something (but it wasn't that, i just want to give you the gist of what I saw and felt). Then the bus started going extremely fast, and i got really scared and was trying to put a seatbelt on...very stressful.
Anyway, then we all arrived at the stately home place. And then, it turned out that people in the group/staying at this place were being murdered! And it turned out to be Satan who was going around killing people. (I am not religious at all, and really doubt there could be a Satan type figure in reality, btw). "Satan"/the Devil was, in my dream, looking quite sinister, he was a short, quite slim man in maybe his 50s, but he didn't look human exactly. He had quite a stereotypically "satanic" look to his face, little pointed beard and sharp features etc. And he wore a cloak. yet he didn't look intimidating he seemed quite humble/pathetic actually- just spooky.
Then we found out he was the killer. By that time everyone was afraid for their lives, Satan was on the rampage and lots of people had been killed!! I ended up being the ringleader of a little group of the young girls I mentioned earlier. My plan was to capture Satan and tie him up or kill him ourselves, or something. We were running around this big building, which now seemed more liek a hotel than any other kind of institution, and the whole place was dark as the power had been cut. But then: I discovered that Satan had an accomplice!! It turned out to be another woman in the group of holidayers, a woman in her 30s or 40s, she was a seamstress. that seems a bit random, well it was, but you know...dream logic!
And it was just literally at the moment i found out that this woman was helping Satan kill people (which messed up the plans I had to capture/defeat him, as I hadn't factored in an accomplice who was also killing), Satan turned up. I was in a dark room, it was the bedroom of the female accomplice of his. I was there with some of my band of satan fighters! And for some reason, the main clue that gave away the identity of this accomplice, was a box of safety pins I found in her room! (I don't know why this would have signified anything, but my brain is just weird) Just as i was looking at the pins, and my heart sank with dread, someone outside the room tried to open the door and come in. I realised it was Satan, and that he was armed and deadly, so gave up on hopes of defeating him, just decided to try to survive if possible. So I threw my weight against the door, to keep him out. I shouted at 2 of the girls there with me (there were 5 in total) to come and help me keep the door closed. But then, they realised something I hadn't - that there were 2 doors to the room, and he could just come in through the other one. They then ran to the other door, but they ran outside the room. I realised that they were sacrificing themselves to save the rest of us there, to give us time to run away. But I got the impression that they didn't know this, they genuinely thought they could defeat satan as per my original plan. I felt so guilty, shocked, and very sad - I just stood there in shock not doing anything for some moments.
Then, the most horrible part of my dream. The second door (that the girls had exited through) burst open suddenly. One of the girls who'd gone outside, came back in. She had been fatally stabbed, through her stomach I think. She collapsed on the floor across the room from me, there was blood all around her. She was gasping and in pain, and dying actually. She managed to say one sentence, which again I don't remember the exact wording of, but the gist of it was that the other girl had been kidnapped by Satan, but was still alive. So I knew I would have to go after him, after all. The dream ended moments after this, when I woke up I woke very suddenly, like i'd had a sudden scare (which I had, as that scene with the stabbed girl was extrememly graphic and upsetting), and my heart was pounding and I felt really shaken.
p.s. the stabbed girl had red, curly hair. I just thought I would mention this, as in many of my dreams, red hair seems to be a recurring motif. I have very memorable dreams and often a character in these dreams is a woman with red hair; a different woman in each dream, no one I know in real life, and all very different types of characters. I don't actually even know any women with red hair in real life (I mean, I see people with red hair e.g. on tv, in the street, but nobody I know personally!). Until this horrible dream, I had actually thought that the red-headed women were a positive symbol representing something good about myself, or showing me a sign of good luck or something...

Dreaming is a very personalised nocturnal event. Your dreams are greatly influenced by your education. My guess is that the all girl school left a deep impression on your character. It definitely impacts on your dream.
This long dream were dreamt for a simple reason; to divert you from some discomfort you had in the sleep.
Most of the long drawn out dreams are caused by digestion problems. The subconscious has a way of hinting at the problem you had in the sleep:
