Ok, Ive suffered from nightmares most of my life, at a certain point I just kinda cracked I guess, I still have plenty of nightmares but typically they dont bother me at all, ill wake up as if I woke up from a relaxing slumber all while retaining the fact that my arm was cutoff in my nightmare. Coping mechanism I guess.
I never even thought about my nightmares being a actual issue until someone I know said that that isnt normal..well, ive been with it for so long it was normal for me. Now, these 3 fairly recent nightmares are all more disturbing then usual, they actually woke me up for one, and I felt uneasy for a while, and pretty much whenever I think of them. For a guy who is used to having horrible dreams as a way of life..thats saying a lot I think. Fish In Ribs Im laying in dirty water on a shore of some sort of large lake or ocean, its kinda cold though I dont feel it, as evident from the partially melted snow around me. I look down and my chest cavity is wrenched open, my ribs sticking in the air, dirty water sloshing around inside my chest cavity, but I do not react. I just wait, for what? Well I look over to my right and there is a older man in the same position I am, A rather angry looking fish swims into his ribcage and starts eating and destroying everything inside. So I look back at the dirty murky water, waiting for my turn with almost a sense of disinterest. Scary girl For some reason one of my friends gets taken by this scary "being" that looks like a little girl. The girl exists within the shadows and smoke, somehow I figure out shes originating from this creepy house, ever dark, and parts of it appear to be on fire creating lots of smoke, but the fire never advances further then where its at. I look into a window in the house on the roof, its too dark to see anything but my own reflection, and the girl..as if she is in the reflection, hair drawn over her head like in The Ring. My drive to save my friend pushes me inside though. I cut myself on the window getting in, in the process of looking for my friend I do of course run into this twisted visage of a little girl. She smells my blood, causing her to lift her head revealing her face. Her pupils glow red, and she starts twitching, the smell of my blood has a intoxicating and maddening affect on her, she wants my blood. I become trapped in this world with my friend, a world filled with darkness and the choking fumes of smoke. Old lady bug thing This one for some reason I knew the storys background as the dream unfolded. There is a old man trapped in a huge attic, his wife had died recently and he was very sad. He may even have been in there as a hiding place, but either way hes stuck in there now. Inside with him though, is a very large larvae looking catterpillar thing about 6-7feet tall from feet to top of its back, crawling around up there, its face is that of his wife, only grayed and with sunken eyesockets with no eyeballs, and a mandible type mouth. It slowly lurks around eating any garbage it can up there, while the old man slowly starves, with nothing to eat and drink hes up there for a few days, wasting away until hes all but unable to move. During this time the larvae looking thing has began to resemble more and more his dead wife, especially in the face but even the body was becoming something of a cross between a bug and a human body. It picks up the raggedy old man and speaks to him, while I do not remember what she says, I remember that this was in fact his wife trapped in this form, as if some evil thing put here there. It stripped away every piece of goodness from her soul and shoved what was left in that body, she loved her husband, and at the same time was a complete slave to her darker impulses, all that she had left..after talking to him, she slowdly but forcefully ripped in into pieces and began to eat him, as he gave back no fight, only the feeling of sorrow, of mourning existed within him anymore. |

Hi,
Dreams, be they ever so strange or violent are dreamt to help the sleeper. There may be mmany different reasons you have these nightmares. The first dream indicates that you had bad chest pains in the sleep. It was probably caused by eating spicy food. My guess is that you have a delicate digestive system and many foods can upset you. The second dream also indicates heartburn and indigestion. The large fat catterpillow, also indicates some form of diet problem, with some psycological content. If you take drugs or use prescribed medicine that would make you dream more vivid. Some drugs cloud the brain and you literally need a bus to wake you up. Cheers Wolfjk

well I do know that in the past my diet isnt that great.
its been better since I moved back to my hometown, benefit of being poor but having your momds homecooking ill be sure to check that out as far as my digestive system is concerned, in highschool I ate a lot of spicey foods, to the point where people thought i had acid reflux disease, id have to vomit just from breathing in winter air. Of course at the time I didnt know my spicey foods were causing this, apparently I ate enough that it wore away the lining of my asophagus. I dont eat nearly as much spicey food now, though I do greatly enjoy them. I am personally unaware of any digestive issues with my own body at this time, other that I get heartburn when im hungry and my stomach only growls when im full /shrug thanks Last edited by Aether99 : 06-16-2009 at 05:23 PM. |

thanks for the reply. It is hard to refuse your favourite food you enjoy eating. However it is best to keep off anything that upsets your stomach afterwards. Cheers Wolfjk
