constant dreams of nearly being raped

hi there, for the past few weeks, nearly every night i dream that i am nearly raped. The dreams are always different but i am put in a situation where im about to be raped and just when its about to happen i wake up. sometimes i will have 2 of these dreams in one night. i have never been raped in real life either. any ideas please, tia

Is there something in your life right now that you don't feel you are in control of? Money, Job, relationship problems?

sort of but not really, i am unemployed and living off my partner but all is well there am sort of having doubts about infidelity (on his part) in the relationship though but i could just be paranoid about nothing

These are simply waking dreams. Perhaps you fear getting raped? your subconscious is using your fear to wake you up.
If you read about rape or hear it related by someone, Your subconscious dees it as an experience.

yes rape is one of my biggest fears, i use to read alot of books about the hardships women face which of course included rape but had stopped that as it was causing bad dreams, my partner works overseas and has been home on holiday and have noticed that they have stopped, maybe its cause im alone and do fear that happening to me

Rape to me means powerlessness, humilation. See how those prevailing moods dominate your own pysche. Most dreams tell us little that we do not know already. This dream shows that you somehow expect to be powerless... humiliated... maybe you need to try to break out of this.

i have the same sort of dreams and i always wake up before im raped. i dont understand them. but i to and terribly afriad of rape.
