Default White Light Shielding

This is a shielding ritual/meditation that my guide gave me almost in
total, though I've tweaked it a bit over the years to personalize it. He gave
me permission to share it, so enjoy!

First settle in to whatever comfortable position you use to do meditation;
light a candle, put on some soft music, some aromatherapy if you like...
lavender is good for relaxing, sage for protection. I use an aromatherapy
diffuser, but you can also just put a drop of each oil on an unscented white candle.

When you're relaxed, visualize the top of your head opening up, and White
Light from the Spirit or God/dess pouring down into the opening, and washing
through your body like a wave, cleansing out all negativity and stress, and
finally washing them out through the bottom of your feet and back down into
Mother Earth to be recycled into positive energy. Visualize this for a few
moments, until you get a sense of how the wave has cleansed your insides.

Next picture the White Light beginning to touch and align and balance your
Chakras. First it touches the root chakra at the base of your spine, and you
visualize the color red. Hold that color in mind for a couple of moments.
Then the second chakra, where the reproductive organs are, and visualize the
color orange. Then the third chakra at the navel, and visualize yellow. Then
the fourth chakra at the heart, and visualize green with rose for the
secondary heart chakra, which connects heart and crown. Then the fifth chakra at
the throat, which is light blue. Then the sixth chakra, which is at the third
eye area in the center of the forehead, and visualize indigo blue. Then the
seventh chakra at the crown of the head, and visualize violet. Take a
moment to see the whole rainbow these colors form with the rose arm going from the
green to the violet. Hold that in image in mind.

Next, ask Spirit to bring the White Light out into your aura, cleansing and
brightening it, and when you have a sense of it being cleansed, then begin to
visualize a mirrored shield going all the way around your aura. Ask that
this shield deflect anything that is sent to you with negative or harmful intent
back to its source. You can then ask to set psychic filters, and you can
ask for what you specifically want here. I have to filter out more than some
people might want to, simply to keep my own balance. But I ask the God/dess
this: Please set my psychic filters to allow through only that which can help
or heal, bring insight or understanding, protect me, or serve other purposes
of Highest Good.

Then I close by thanking the God/dess for the cleansing, balancing, and
shielding. If you do meditation, this is a good time to do that next, as you
should be really relaxed at this point.

You can also do a short form of this, even in the car (eyes open,
obviously!), on the way somewhere, if you're nervous about picking up too much psychic
energy in crowded places, like happens to me.

You may find it helpful to do this several times a day at first, and then
after awhile, it becomes almost automatic, and you only have to do it when you
feel a real need. It's kind of like the way we have to really concentrate
when we're first learning to ride a bicycle or swim or type, but then it becomes
something we can do without thinking about it so much. I especially run
through it at bedtime most nights, and it seems to keep the dark stuff out of my
dreams. Take care!

"Shamanic dreamers recognize that waking life is also a dream,
and that the world will speak to us in the manner of a dream if we know
how to attend to it.

"Maybe we need to take the dream more literally and the events of
waking life more symbolically. Just as shamanic dreamers recognize
dreams as real experiences, they pay close attention to the symbolic
meanings of the incidents and patterns of external reality. 'As within, so
without.' Everything has meaning, everything is related."

Just thought I'd pull this back up... sounds as if it might be useful to someone!

Hi Iris,
It sounds like hard labour to me! and expensive!
Don't you ever feel as if your "Spirit Guide" plays a mischievious joke on you?
Cheers Wolfjk

Expensive? No, I don't think so! I get a hundred little tea light candles for seven bucks. That's seven cents each. A bottle of essential oil might cost ten, but last for at least a year, even used daily. You don't really *need* to light a scented candle, I guess, but it makes things nicer.

And no, I don't think my guide plays jokes on me in regards to this at all. It's to help me deal with fears that were programmed in by others, is all, and it's a good way to maintain spiritual focus. He also gives help and guidance in a lot of other matters. Whether you believe it or not, he is real, not some figment of my imagination.

Why are you on my case again, Wolf, or is it just a bad day for you? You seem to be ranting elsewhere as well. Are you feeling your physiological-only stance on dreams crumbling a little, maybe? Is it beginning to sink in that they might actually MEAN something as well? What is so threatening to you when others express different ideas that you have to go on the attack and pick at people? I will agree the occasional dream has a physiological component, especially bathroom ones, but that doesn't mean you should keep ranting at people that their dreams don't mean anything. Most of us have more sense than to believe that.

Hi,
You should respect your elders! I speak from a lifetime of personal experience and a lifetime of study.

Wolf, I think we've been through you shaking the age spear at me crying OOOGA BOOOGA already. I'm not impressed by your age, okay? I told you that I don't agree when you go around insisting to everyone that their dreams don't mean anything. I think it's juvenile, and can't fathom why you keep posting in the dream interpretation section, since you are not interpreting anything at all. If you're so old, maybe it's even senile. Whatever it is, you obviously have a bullying problem, and it's inappropriate and disruptive. I don't see a blocking function here, so I suppose there's no way to stop you. Shrug.

I notice nobody else seems to believe your ideas much either. Have you?

You must have been one of those horrid boys who dunk girls' pigtails in inkwells, and actually expect that to endear you to them.

It's not working.

Bye for now!

...also sounds familiar from reading a little on dream yoga, and a little more on meditation. I've heard & read a little on the "white light shielding" concept mentioned by many different people in many different places, and been curious about it & willing to try it. So thanks, Iris. I found it interesting.

White Light comes from the Holy Spirit, so I disagree.
