Nightmare - granddaughter fell off ledge

Terrible nightmre last night. I dreamed that I was on the second floor of a building, and there was an outside area where one could sit. I was out there, and suddently my 2 year old granddaughter was there with her aunt (13 years old). My granddaughter suddenly started running down this incline, and fell off to the sidewalk below. I was horror struck, and immediately woke up. Please help analyze this dream. Thank you

it may have just been away for your brain to help wake you up, because you needed too. like a lot of the sleep and falling dreams that startle people awake and they are dreams that the body induce for a person to wake up, mine generally occur because my heart rate is so slow (i have a heart condition) and then general rush of adrenalin cause the fall or the event that will wake the body.

in your case you were just dreaming nicely until your body realized it needed to wake up, on a conscious level it just may have been a noise, but your body interpreted as bad so it woke you up the quickest way it could.
