Default nightmare of son dying

I have a knot in my chest still and still feel like crying and ive been awake for 4 hours. I have 4 kids and had a dream about my son who is 12. Why him? I do think because he is my child who requires extra loving attention due to an excessive axiety disorder and bouts of depression.
What I remember is being in the passenger seat of a car with my son next to me in the middle(no one in the drivers seat)I was holding him to my side knowing his heart was going to stop at anytime. I was holding my hand on his chest checking when his heart did stop. I tried leaning him forward and using those paddles as in an E.R. then leaned him back on me and tried on his chest again. It wouldn't work. He was looking at me and said "I love you mommy. I just want to die." I felt like I woke up at this time. I felt myself cryingbut I must have went back to sleep because then I was running to a doorway and there was a cop who would not let me see my son. I just kept telling him"please I just want to hold him and say goodbye". Then it flipped to where the same as a doorway but at a morgue. I remember telling his dad whom wanted to have certain clothes put on him that no he had to wear his favorite jeans. Then it flipped and i was standing in front of everyone talking at his funeral. I dont remember what I was saying as I woke up at this time. I had been crying for some time in my sleep as my eyes were beat red and my face was splotchy.
i dont know why at this time I would have such a horrible dream as he is doing great.

Hi,
Relax. The dream was about what was happening in your sleep. Many things happen in a nights sleep. If you sleep in a bad sleeping position a nightmare wakes you up or turns you over.
Your dream indicates that you had heartburn or indigestion in your sleep.

Actually it was your chest that was hurting! However your subconscious used your fear for your son to wake you and move you about in bed to ease your indigestion.
My guess is that you eaten some fatty or spicy food before this dream.
The reason I think it was indigestion is because you went back to sleep and carried on dreaming.
When the problems in sleep are not too serious your dreams try to heal it by diverting you from it by these stron nightmarish dreams. Although they seem bad and frightening they do the important job of healing you, or wake you up when necessary.
Unfortunatel the subconscious uses the most effective method to create the dream and in this case it used your son.
Don't worry about him! He'll be OK
Cheers Wolfjk

Thank you for replying wolfjk. As what you said makes a lot of sense. I did eat fast food last night! After getting my brain unscrambled some, I tried to pick my dream apart. The part where my son says"I love you mommy. I just want to die." This was one of my sons fears years ago. If he had even gotten a scratch, he was afraid he was going to die. To me i'm thinking maybe this was my subconsions? letting me know he is ok. Not so much of dying, but working through his anxieties and fears. Does this make sense? Also when I can't get to him in either doorway, i'm thinking it might be my own fears of as a mother not always being able to be there for him or comfort him.i don't know, but I know that it's comforting to know that there are differant meanings behind dreams than the actual dream itself. And as it's disiphered,it actually makes sense. If there are differant meanings I'd really like to know thoughts on this.
thanks again!

Hi,
Thanks for your reply.
Dreams are dreamt to look after the sleeper. In sleep, the subconscious follows how the sleeper feels, and if everythingis going well you dont remember any dreams. However if there is some problems; indigestion headache or fever, the subconscious brings the sleeper near to the waking level so hs/she can wake up quickly. That is the reason we remember our dreams, especially bad ones.
Dreams have very little meanings. It is what they do that is important. If you are tired, they keep you asleep for as long as possible, but if you need to be woken quickly you get a violent dream and wake up in fractions of a second.
The reason your subconscious brought your son into your dream is because you are always thinking about him and worried about him. However the dream was about your sleep and how you felt during it.
Dont worry!
Cheers Wolfjk

Default 12 year old son

Sounds like depression and anti-depressants can trigger suicide in teens so I am not recommending those for your son. I understand Sam-e and Gaba both help with depression and are based on things our body usually produces in normal amounts. you might check into giving him either, but probably not both.
Might give him a very good vitamin/mineral supplement. I am not being facetious; these things do help with depression and anxiety, especially the two I first mentioned. GNC has reasonable prices. I also take vitamin D for depression, and am going to check into the others, though I am not depressed as long as I take the VitD. My impression was you were trying to save him after maybe he'd been found unconscious. I mean, of course I could be wrong, just ask yourself if any of this feels like it could be true to you. You will know.

If he is taking any drugs to lessen anxiety [without anyone knowing] please be aware most pills like Oxy, etc and the anti-anxiety ones like atavan, etc can trigger anxiety. I have someone in my family with a pill problem and I read up on it all the time...

Hi,

A son or a boy is a symbol for a sorrow or an illness if the symbol died means the sorrow will end or the illness will CURE.

You were in a funeral crying means you will be forgiven by God.

Good luck.

approximate interpretation time table: Dreams at noon or exactly at midnight( In the summer time 13 at noon and 1 midnight else at 12)in the same day if past a few minutes, a few days later. Dreams at 10-11 in the morning in 15-30 days later. Also dreams at 3-4 in the evening in 1-2 months .Dreams in the sunset mostly are not truthful and are messed, they have no interpretations, Dreams at 4-5 in the morning in a few days to 2 months some dreams in the holy books( Josef dream of kneeling the sun and the moon and 11 stars)was interpreted after 20 years and other dreams of the Pharaoh's prisoners interpreted in the same day and after 7 years. Dream of Pharaoh about the 7 thin cows and 7 fat cows interpreted from the next year to 14 years. Also dreams in 6th of the month will interpret after 1-2 days, in 9th at the same day, in 10th after 20 days, in 13th after 9 days in 14th after 26 days and in 15th after 3 days, in 16th after 2 days and in 28th ,29th ,30th in the same day, but these are solar (Persian months and you should refer to a calendar or convert them) . Of course there are different kinds of dreams , like messy dreams which have no interpretations or deja vu dreams, or psychological dreams or dreams which are caused by bad food or drinks.
