recurring dreams about being attacked by ghosts

The past couple of nights I've been having dreams about hauntings and ghosts. I'm staying in a house and then realize it's haunted. I can't see the ghosts but they will do stuff to make it known they're there.

In one dream I went into a bedroom and all the drawers of a dresser were pulled out and thrown at me by something I couldn't see. I flipped out screaming at the ghosts not to mess with me and I started kicking at the drawers. This didn't stop the ghost.

Usually the hauntings only take place in certain areas of the house I'm in. In one it was a certain bedroom, in another it was a whole top floor that was all bedrooms. In another it was just the basement.

Someone always wants me to go back into the house for something. In the dream I had last night I had to go through the basement to unlock a door from the inside to let someone in the house. I didn't have anything thrown at me in that dream but I do remember doors slamming and me running up the basement stairs into the house and trying to lock and close the basement door behind me but something was pushing back trying to get in and I could lock it.

In another dream something was throwing stuff at me in a bedroom and I know that it's under the bed so I bend down and I can see something under there moving but I don't know what. I start throwing stuff under the bed and yelling and it keeps trying to get closer to me to grab my arm. I don't know what to do because I'm so mad at whatever it is but I can't go any further because I know it will grab me.

I have no idea what these dreams mean but it's just really strange that I keep having them night after night. One thing I noticed is that in all of these dreams I'm mad at the ghosts and try to fight back. If they're throwing stuff at me I throw it right back and start screaming and yelling even though I can't see them. It seems to happen a lot in bedrooms except for that one dream in the basement. It also seems to happen in the day time in my dreams, not at night.

So I have no idea what this is all about so any help would be great.

The time of day seems to be the most significant to me, whatever the reason the time of day may mean this is out in the open. I am assuming that this is the same house so the house represents something other than home but a place where you may feel like home (work is this place for a lot of us). Because the attacks don't seem serious I would guess that they are warnings about something to come at this place. I see the ghosts as troubles or problems you are facing and the fact that you keep going back means that you have not taken care of the issue. The issue may be considered minor (meaning not life and death) because of the nature of the attacks, also minor.

The "under the bed" part can also mean the fear of the unknown as we grew up fearing what may be under our beds.
