Hello All!
I had a horrible, horrible nightmare the other night and couldn't sleep for hours afterward... I'm hoping someone here can tell me what it means. In the dream, I was me but had a very different life and physical characteristics. I was with a group of people, a party of sorts. I had gotten invited from a girl who I suppose was an acquaintance of mine. Now when I got to the party it seemed to take place in one of these goer's cabins in the suburbs. There were about five people there (none of whom I would really associate with in real life and all of whom are not real). The girl who invited me was the only character that I remember seeing, she looked a bit business goth (if that even makes sense). Anyway, everything was dark save for a few candles scattered about. We were all talking about how we hate everyone in our lives making planed to kill them. Then, the hostess of the "party" brings out a platter of food. I took a bite and thought it was horrible and asked her what it was and she told me that it was baby (human). As a side note, what made this dream so disturbing was the vividness of it... like I was actually there. Well, she told me that it's an acquired taste and that I should take it home with me. Later, I get home and decide that I would eat the rest of the leg I had. I went up to the attic (which I don't actually have) and took my dog with me (the dog was not at all like my real dog) and locked myself in a small crawl space. I started eating the baby and was sharing the bones with my very hungry looking dog. But as I ate my psychotic babble became more and more scary. I told the dog and myself how much I hate my mother and boyfriend and was sharing plots that I was formulating on how I would kill and eat them. (I don't have a boyfriend and my mother and I have a very good relationship). It was so much and so intense that I had to wake myself up. So, what does it mean... if you need ore background info, contact me. |

Could it be anything to do with your childhood? You were close to your pets? You were a jealous sibling?
Do you have any children now, who are stressing you out? Are they common dreams?

Hello carysmatik,
Thanks for trying your hand at my nightmare. I'll try to answer my questions the best I can. This is the first dream of its kind. I don't know thatit could be connected to my childhood; I never experienced feelings that strongly when I was a child. I had pets but were not so close to them (as a matter of fact sort of disliked them). I have to say though that I was somewhat a jealous sibling... my older brother was much older than me and was accomplishing life milestones while I was still in elementary school. I don't have children now. |

Interesting, it definitely has to do with children. There are old wives' tales that explain these types of dreams (nightmares) with future fertility problems or fear of having children for reasons that only you know of. Have you had any medical problems or a secret dislike of having your own children?

I'm glad to hear that you have no medical issues so maybe infertility is the wrong way to go here. Babies also can mean new life and that is open to interpretation. A new job can be new life and the aversion can be the growing pains along with it. Any recent changes in your life that you are adjusting to?

It explains it... I am going through quite a difficult time with my new living situation here. But what a weird/scary way to find out!

This dream is about what was happening in your sleep. The dream indicates that you were feeling nauseous in your sleep. You probably eaten or drunk something that made you feel sick and ready to throw up. However your subconscious creates the dream to follow your state of health in your sleep and only wakes you up if your condition requires it. Do you suffer from bullemia? Or are you in denyal of it? Cheers Wolfjk
