Can't Wake up
I have a dream that starts almost as soon as I fall asleep, at least it feels that way - like I can feel myself get sucked into sleep and then I realize I can't wake up. I keep trying to open my eyes and I can't. I know I am asleep but I can't move and I can hear someone laughing.........I have this "dream" in spurts - it will happen a few times and then not again for months and then all of a sudden I start having it again...help! Is this a common thing?

same thing
the same thing happend to me, i was just resting my head on a table then fell asleep and then i heard someone laughing and poking me in the back. i knew i had to wake up but i couldnt move or open my eyes. i gave it was big push and jerked awake.
 ...wierd huh
