Hi, i'm not that new to forums but i'm very new to advice. I currently experience this re-occurring nightmare which has gained in frecuency over the last few months, I don't know if its down to stress or not, but its pretty vivid. Apparantly discussing you're problems helps so I apologise in advance. I'm losing sleep over it and i'm just curios to know what you all think.

Here goes nothing...

The dream starts within a field of endless grey grass, the sky and everything in the world is colourless, all is silent. I find myself walking aimlessly with a very strong sense of confussion and loss. As I walk further it feels as if my mind has skipped a chapter of the dream, and I now find myself in the company of hundreds of soldiers all of them walking as aimlessly as I. I try my hardest to speak to these ghostlike men, but all they do is walk. All of the soldiers bare a saddened look upon their faces.

Just like before my brain skips a chapter and moves to a completely different setting. This time I find myself waking up in an unfamiliar bed, although it still feels like it belongs to me. The room is small and made from wood. Outside the sky is on fire and screams flood the air. Suddenly the light fades and a horrible, horrible silence fills the room. I feel two heavy hands smash down upon my shoulders, trapping me on the bed.

I can't seen my attacker's face, just these blank, purple eyes. The attacker's breathing is deep and heavy, like a large animals. Its so real i could almost smell his breath. I scream out but no one hears my call. The only reply is the voice of my attacker.

"It didn't work, It wouldn't work"

The yellowish teeth lunge at me from the darkness and I find myself in the same damn state I do most nights.

Any response would be a help

Aiden.

Well, I believe there is something that has been weighing you down for quite a while and it is something that you just don't want to face or talk about anymore because you believe that no one understands how you feel. This has been going on for some time now. Your situation might be related to your possibly not being able to go away somewhere, maybe to school, or maybe you didn't get a promotion at work that you believed you deserved or maybe a relationship that went sour. I don't know, but you do, maybe. This is why this person or thing has to hold you down from your shoulders and trap you like it does, because you don't want to accept whatever happened. It's time to talk about it with someone and go on. I do believe that you are possibly depressed, like one of the writers posted, and you might not even know that you are in that state that you wake up to every other night. Good luck to you.
