Scary recurring dream, I want it to stop! What does this mean?

OK so I keep having this dream that I am back in my old apartment I lived in about 8 months ago, Its always at night, with this blueish light coming in through the windows.well I lived there with my fiance for 6 months. anyways in the dream we are both there and I have this REALLY bad feeling I want to leave. So I will tell My fiance "lets go, I don't like it here", and he agrees and we start to walk out towards the door. As we're are walking I look back into our bedroom and there is a dark figure, a man. so I grab my fiances arm and start pulling him faster toward the door. For some reason I can't tell him what I am seeing, I am just trying SO hard to get us safely out. The man starts to follow, and my fiance is still trying to figure out what is happening, why I am acting so scarred and stressed. I yank my fiance toward the door, I get outside but my fiance is still standing in the doorway looking at me like I'm crazy and the man is RIGHT behind him. Then I wake up crying. It always stops at that point. I also have the same dream sometimes, same everything except I am in the bedroom by myself and that man is in the window trying to grab me, but I am just out of reach, then right when he gets close enough to grab me I wake up. what does this mean, and how do I stop it, Its so real and I can't stand it!!
